What is the meaning of ALTCOIN? I just read at Investopedia (https://www.investopedia.com/terms/a/altcoin.asp#:~:text=%22Altcoin%22%20is%20a%20combination%20of,chain%E2%80%94from%20Bitcoin%20and%20Ethereum.) about the meaning. Before I was thinking they took from the rule to make citation of authors (et al, meaning and others authors); but it is a combination of words Alternative + Coin, referring in general to any other coin different to BTC (bitcoin).
