It is fascinating, but every time I check my wallet on leodex.io or any other side, it seems like there are new tokens I got, that I never heard of.
I lost count of how many different tokens I have. And actually, I am not quite sure, what they are good for. For some, at least I could find a WhitePaper or even a front-end. So today I crossed over CTP, ALIVE, CENT and UTOPIS. Some seem already quite old - at least regarding crypto-time.
What they are good for? No idea.
When I started on Hive, I usually sold most of the tokens I got, to get some more swipe.hive which I could invest in Splinterlands assets. Recently I sold some, so I could put more into my liquidity pools. But today I just decided to stake them. Will it be worth? I am not sure. Probably not for most of the tokens. Where there is an almost unlimited amount, it is very unlikely that the demand will catch up.
In the end it is much about the demand and demand will be there, only if there is a proper use. Is there kind of a wiki, where all tokens have descriptions? Because it would be really awesome to just check some database and understand what a token is good for.
So why did I stake something, I don't really understand. Because I don't think I have anything to loose. I didn't know, that I had those tokens this morning. And I am just happy to find out more about the Hive Blockchain every day and get some more assets. Also it doesn't really matter. Most of those tokens in my wallet are close to $0,01 or less. So even if I sold them, it wouldn't make a big difference.
EDIT:
Actually there is kind of a tool: You can check on hive-engine.com at the (i) after the token, and most of the time find some useful link to the website of the project. And also often a short description.
