Indonesia now has a Ministry of Creative Economy and is actively campaigning for the creative economy movement in the regions. This provides new enthusiasm for cryptocurrency traders who should be included in the creative economy.
The Minister of Creative Economy (Ekraf), Teuku Riefky Harsya, held a number of meetings with several regional heads in Aceh, starting from Governor Muzakir Manaf to the Regent of Aceh Tamiang, Armia Pahmi. The essence of the meeting was to discuss the synergy between the central government and local governments in a number of programs, especially in the creative economy sector.
The hope of the people of Aceh, including Aceh Tamiang, is that the meeting is not just an empty formality without follow-up. In the midst of economic pressures due to both domestic and global conditions, the people of Aceh need stimulus from the central government. The current situation requires special treatment to rise from adversity. It cannot be allowed to continue and rise as it is.
One of the important messages that the regional government needs to respond to is the formation of the Creative Economy Service in the region. Responding does not mean immediately forming the Creative Economy Service as suggested by the Minister. The problem of forming new departments must be addressed with various considerations so that the government runs more effectively and efficiently.
The decision of the central government to form an obese cabinet does not necessarily have to be followed by the local government. There are several departments that have the same scope so that they overlap. To manage the creative economy realm, it is not always necessary to form a new work unit, but it could be under the relevant departments that have been running so far.
The creative economy can be under the Industry and Trade Department, which should have a broad scope. Industry and Trade are now no longer limited to classic goods and services as seen physically. Stock trading, capital markets, crypto trading, games, and other digital assets should be included in aspects that can be developed by the local government, including Aceh Tamiang.
The young generation of Aceh is active in creative trade such as crypto and other digital economies. Without much fanfare, there is a crypto community that has become many billionaires in Aceh. They have succeeded in becoming traders without support from the government or academics who should be at the forefront of research and development of the creative economy.
There are still many untapped potentials in Aceh, in addition to those that have been running, both independently and fostered by various institutions such as craft products, design, music, fine arts, films, games, and various types of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
Each district and city in Aceh has a different capacity and potential in developing the creative economy, so the decision to form an agency or become a unit in a relevant agency must be a mature consideration, not because of considerations of filling positions for supporters in the previous regional head elections.[]
