Should i be honest with my answer?
Yes like i said it yesterday at #threadcast rewards attracted me.
When i first heard "Write and get paid" i immediately was interested , i have never been a writer and i never had passion for writing but been a young vibrant lady seeking or sourcing for how to pay my bills and assist my family i have to sit up and do whatever it takes to make some cash and that is why am here today, but honestly its now more than write and get paid.
Unfortunately the dudu that invited me over wasn't patient enough and she left but here i am today struggling to reach success which i know with time i will definitely get there if i don't give up.
"Quiters never win"
Writing has never been my thing right from time, i will say that one thing i hate most is reading and writing, in my days in the college i was so bad that any class i missed is gone for good because i have no time for copying notes as we call it those days. So its obvious that rewards attracted me.
How has the journey been?
Like i just said my mentor dropped on the way when she felt disappointed that rewards where not forth coming and it affected me seriously because I was thinking if i should continue or not, after a while i got a new mentor and he has been the best mentor soo far, in person of yes he has been the best mentor soo far.
He helped me understand why i should look beyond the rewards,
"Firstly it will help me not to be disappointed and give up when they are not forth coming.
"Secondly it will deprive me from looking for ways to give my best to the platform and add more value"
He helped me to understand that my growth doesn't depend on how much i make but on the value i bring to the platform.
I definitely saw the need of determination and passion, because passion helped me to keep showing up even when there is no reward and when rewards start coming it won't look different.
Here i am today gaining more than i invested , one good thing is that the more consistent the more knowledge and wisdom you get.
Why are we talking about this?
During the #leolive threadcast yesterday a question came as to what attracted us to hive everyone wrote what was their center of attraction and honestly this was my reply
Yes but today i have developed passion for creating content both short and long form, is no more about the rewards tho they are definitely important but i look beyond that and look for ways to add more value to myself and the community.
At the threadcast yesterday really helped me personally to see what i should have done to build myself or my page .
He said look for 3 followers not 3000 followers, appreciate the 3 on a consistent basis, visit their post engage and let them get to know you better.
It must not be with people who already have thousands of followers if possible look for people who are in your level so as to grow together.
And that is just the key, consistency with few set of people will definitely make one significant and they will definitely want to appreciate you back, even if you don't get appreciated immediately keep on doing what is right and in due time you will surely get a reward.
My Goal /Goals.
Thats sounds impossible because he works like a machine, is he AI ? I don't really know 🤔 ohhhh he's human with excessive energy and passion, maybe or maybe not.
Growth takes time and hard work.
My goal is to be a busy bee, get my 3 followers and see myself at the top.
Is that too much to ask, No its not .
So it's just what determination and passion can help me achieve and definitely my future will thank me.
