In today's publication here on $leofinance community, I will be sharing/discussing with you:
(1). Behind the scenes of your social media financial influencers.
(2). Earning foreign currencies as a Nigerian.
(3). Another thing to be a Nigerian.
(4) Continuation and conclusion.
Behind the scenes of your social media financial influencers:
As I already mentioned above, the very first I will like to address is one of the great mistakes in which we do involve ourselves with. Make no mistake about this: A lot of the people you think are 'rich' in Nigeria on social media are not rich doing what you see them do on social media. This is one ugly truth nobody cares to tell you, especially because they want to sell a product or course to you. So, they position themselves as people who are rich doing what they are selling to you. You have to learn to see beyond what's posted on social media. You truly have to; else, they will continuously separate you from your money.
Earning foreign currencies as a Nigerian:
The second in line is that of getting paid with foreign currencies as a Nigerian. As a Nigerian, if your desire is to be paid in Dollars, Euros, and Pounds for your services, Facebook is not the best platform for you. The reason is simple: Hardly will you find a native of those currencies hiring on Facebook. They understand that all platforms are not created equal. In fact, if you send them a friend request, they will likely think you're the 'street boys' without going through your timeline. I didn't say you cannot get hired and paid in Dollars through Facebook, but the chance is slim compared to other platforms. Did you just ask me about the best platforms? Google it! When you take the question to Google, you'll find more information than me simply listing the platforms. Google it now. Your survive in the next year may depend on them and your usage of those platforms.
Another thing to be a Nigerian:
You may never truly understand what it means to be a Nigerian until you start working for foreigners from Nigeria. That moment when your client is about to dole out €10,000 to you, and you remember that your country is not listed for global payment systems. Then, it will dawn on you what it truly means to be a Nigerian. Now, I'm wondering, why are there no global payment processors that someone can just click a link, put whichever bank details they have, and in seconds, the money arrives in the other account? Or even within 2 days? Why can't someone in Brazil wire my Naija Aza directly from Brazil without hiccups? Why? Anyway, we'll see to that. Shebi they say we should think global, even while living local? So, I will see to that.
Continuation and conclusion:
Meanwhile, if you live in Naija, working with foreign clients and you use all those ONLINE payment processors, those Fintechs that allow you to open a Foreign Bank account from Naija, be very careful. In fact, every day you wake up, offer a small prayer for the account. If they suspend your account for whatever reason, your money don go be that. Abi you get money to travel to England to file a case? In conclusion, The above write-up my seem a little outdated due to the fact that there are a lot of technology improvements to help our transactions be it negatively or positively making transactions but then again we all know how A lot of people are not too familiar with the internet space and having those set of people get stucked with some transactions will lead to some regrets but at the other hand are some who are willing to wait and resolve such transaction issues as they know how to go about it properly
