Berkshire stock weakening
It was on the 3rd of May when Investing Grandmaster Warren Buffett announced that he will step down as CEO of Berkshire and Greg Abel will take over. Since then the stock has lost -3.5%. This is remarkable since the S&P index rallyied in the meantime upwards with +5,5%. Berkshire is underperforming. It is falling vs a rising market. Are shareholders loosing trust?
In my view
…this is indeed a sign of caution since the new guy has to proove himself. Abel is following in very big footsteps, one of the biggest there are within the investing sphere.
But I wouldn’t be too anxious really since this guy has learned from the Greatest and certainly has business acumen as well. Berkshire stock might not do the huge returns it delivered during the past decades but I am pretty sure they will manage to keep up to the S&P performance and even beat it in the years to come.
What is your view about Berkshire and its future?
