MAUs: A Six-Year Low
31,000 monthly active users. What sounds like a big number is actually the lowest level of activity in six years. Back in 2020, we were already sitting at around 20–30k MAUs. Then Splinterlands came along and triggered that massive surge, pushing us 20x higher to roughly 600–700k MAUs in 2021. Since then, we’ve drifted right back to where we started.
That’s not news to anyone who’s still active on the platform, it simply reflects the fundamentals behind the heavily declined value of the HIVE token. Fewer users mean less demand, and the price follows.
The real question is if and when we recover. That’s impossible to predict. The positive side is that thousands of people are still here, and the blockchain continues to run reliably.
I’ll keep my head down and post daily, waiting for a potential turnaround. I’m not expecting a dramatic comeback, but I do think we’ll see some kind of spring again. What about you?
