Core Inflation lower than expected
Wall Street waited for todays CPI data of December which was slightly higher than in November but core inflation (without energy and food) came in lower than expected. So stock markets are right now starting a relief rally since consumer inflation was less hot than many feared and this removes a bit of the pressure on the Fed to keep rates high.
Markets green
The S&P and Nasdaq are green and so is Bitcoin and the rest of the crypto market. Good news, guys! Hopefully the earnings season, especially of the tech companies that kicks off next week will give further positive impulses. On the other hand if economy runs too good then Fed has less reason to cut rates further. Its a gauntlet run at the moment.
