CHIA MINING
Right or wrong I am going for it. I am now a Chia miner. Web 2.0 at its best.
It is a slow start. I am going to channel my Chia earnings into Building BBH, the account.
In this post I am going to try and explain how it works.
I spent about a year and a half trying to mine on my own. The closest I ever got to mining a block was 9 months in the future.
Four days ago with a new 8 TiB hard drive. Because I chances of find a block went up to 1 year, I took a long hard look at what inwas doing.
I joined a mining pool. Let me see if I can show you, just after four days where I think it can head.
This is a what they call partials. A graph of my partials. Meaning part of a block I assume. You can see how mine is going up.
Chia is proof of space. It uses hard drive space. You create Plots and the plots help in validation of the chain.
With my current set up I can create about two new plots a day.
I have about 26 TiB of hard drive space and should get about 270 plots before I have to add more hard drive space.
That growth chart is starting with 1 plot upto as of this writing 11 plots.
You should be able to get the idea of how my miner will keep growing and earning more.
This next graphic show plot disk space and how much Chia I have earned and the USD value. Don't laugh to hard.
Next I am going to show you how much or if you are a negative person, how little I earn per point.
Read it from top to bottom. As you can see it is going up.
Af course you cannot belong to a pool without paying a fee. I love how they got the fees structured. It starts at one percent and goes down depending on your ranks .
So far so good.
Should be 100 or so days before I fill up 26 terabytes of hard drive space with my small rig. It is going to be interesting to see where I am at before I have to add another drive.
DID YOU KNOW
Did you know one USB port on windows can support 256 hard drives.
Educational moments.
ALIVE AND THRIVING
BBH and I and my Chia miner is alive and Thriving.
