The now largest and most powerful supercomputer is in China and it is certainly not calculating the formula for world peace. The other nuclear powers, however, are always trying not to lose the connection and are arming themselves accordingly.

Als technisch interessierter Mensch gibt es heutzutage ja viele Quellen. Ein Medium im deutschen Sprachraum ist Heise Online. Es ist immer wieder höchst interessant wie weit die Technik mittlerweile ist und was da noch so auf uns zu kommt. In einer der letzten Folgen ging es um Exascale-Supercomputer und deren Betriebskosten. Die Rechenleistung ist gigantisch und ein Supercomputer vernascht schnell mal den Energiebedarf einer großen Stadt.
So manch einer wird jetzt fragen warum dieser gigantische Aufwand, wenn man damit keine Kryptos schürft. Es geht dann wahrscheinlich um epische Fragen die hier ausgerechnet werden sollen und dies ist auch manchmal so. Wer jetzt an Grundlagenforschung denkt und die Suche nach dem heiligen Gral der Unsterblichkeit, der hat auch recht.
Jeder Staat oder Konzern kann sich Rechenleistung mieten und Forschung betreiben, es ist halt immer eine Frage des Geldes.
Viel mehr Ressourcen gehen aber in eine ganz andere Richtung und diese hat eher was mit maximaler Vernichtung zu tun. In Deutschland werden demnächst die letzten Atomkraftwerke abgeschaltet und dann soll es ohne Kernenergie weitergehen. Ganz anders sieht es allerdings in der Rüstungsindustrie aus, denn nukleare Atomwaffen sind wieder in Mode.
Deutschland ist dabei keine Atommacht aber dafür viele andere große Länder dieser Erde. Der nun größte und leistungsstärkste Supercomputer steht in China und dieser rechnet bestimmt nicht an der Formel für den Weltfrieden. Die anderen Atommächte sind aber stets bemüht den Anschluss nicht zu verlieren und rüsten dementsprechend mit auf.
Während nahezu jede Branche in der Corona Krise verloren hat und ihre alten Höchststände noch nicht wieder erreicht hat, so konnte die Rüstungsindustrie sogar wachsen in den Jahren. So muss sich der kalte Krieg angefühlt haben denk ich mir,nur heute ist alles viel präziser und im Vorhinein simuliert und berechnet✌️
