Nikkei at a 30-year high
It's amazing what the small island off China is managing to do lately.
Chinese markets are weakened by the Alibaba scandal and the rest of the world is not making much of an effort in the run-up to New Year.
Japan seems to be going its own way and is making another strong move north today, forming a new high.
Movements are very thin on the daily chart though and volatility looks different. Whether people are happy about the successful aid package in the US remains to be seen, but today the Nikkei is the front-runner in my watch list.
Perhaps the Americans will take the Nikkei as a model.

Es ist schon erstaunlich was die kleine Insel vor China so schafft in der letzten Zeit.
Die chinesischen Märkte sind durch den Skandal um Alibaba geschwächt und der Rest der Welt macht keine großen Anstrengungen in der Zeit vor Neujahr.
Japan scheint seinen eigenen Weg zu gehen und macht heute wieder einen starken Satz Richtung Norden und bildet somit einen neuen Höchststand.
Die Bewegungen sind auf dem Tageschart aber sehr dünn und Volatilität sieht anders aus. Ob man sich vielleicht über das gelungene Hilfspaket in den USA erfreut bleibt offen aber heute ist der Nikkei der Spitzenreiter in meiner Watchlist.
Vielleicht nehmen sich die Amerikaner ja den Nikkei als Vorbild.
