Good afternoon, everyone!
I introduce myself: I'm Paula, I live in Spain and my profession is a broker.
What is a broker?
A broker is an intermediary who helps us to buy or sell. When you want to invest your money and buy some financial products to obtain a return, you need a broker.
To be able to work as a broker you need to comply with the regulations in force governing the financial markets and also have the supervision and licence of the competent regulatory institutions.
In the case of the stock exchange, for example, the broker is responsible for buying or selling the shares on behalf of his clients.
One of the mistakes we should not make is to confuse a broker with a trader (investor). The trader is the one who, on his own behalf or on behalf of others, buys and sells financial instruments (shares, futures, currencies).
A trader is the person who is in charge of carrying out any operation of buying and selling assets in the financial markets. The trader carries out these operations through a broker, which can be a bank or a financial institution.
Each way of operating (buying and selling) requires technical knowledge to be able to anaylse the financial environment (fundamental and tehcnical analysis).
In another post I will show you a little bit more about these types of analysis which will be helpful to buy and sell crytocurrencies.
If you need any information, don't hesitate to write down a comment.
