Greetings, community, and happy start to the week! Hoping you're starting your day full of energy and in the best mood, I'm here to share my usual #MyHiveGoals report! In it, I summarize our activity and output from last week, and I was pleasantly surprised to see how productive it was. I've been finishing the last corrections my advisor sent me on my paper, and I've spent the last two weeks fine-tuning the details. I think I'll have it ready this week. Ironically, even though it seems like I have more time, I have to organize my desk in the lab. It's full of scientific articles, manuals, and lab protocols that I spent hours reading to finish my thesis discussion. Now I have to tidy up my desk to dedicate myself to the next phase of my professional career: applying for my first research project.

The first big news I saw while brewing my coffee was that the price of Hive had recovered! $0.065 was the price I used to exchange all the liquid Hive from all my weekly rewards (remember that due to the low price of Hive, we aren't receiving HBD). It was depressing last week to see the price of Hive at $0.058 after almost reaching $0.09, although with the current circumstances, it only takes one geopolitical event for everything to collapse. Let's hope that this week we can overcome this fragile state in the crypto market.

We haven't funded our wallet on Hive yet; I think that will be towards the end of this month. However, that hasn't stopped us from continuing to do the daily power-ups. We're on track to complete the 5th Hive Power Up Month, which, added to this week's rewards, has generated a total of 125 HP, which we add to our influence within the network. This is what surprised me, because I thought I would generate less since I was busy with my academic and teaching activities, and this week will be the same, tomorrow I will start giving practical classes in the laboratory so I don't know if I will get out early enough to get online.

But overall, we're on the right track. We'll probably reach 10,000 HP sometime this week, and in June we'll formally begin working towards our annual goal of 12,000 HP. It would take six months of network activity to reach that amount, so I think it's perfectly achievable.

The next metric we'll review is our HBD savings. In our previous post, we celebrated reaching 2,000 HBD after two years of deciding to explore the potential of this savings tool within the blockchain, through the HBD stablecoin (Hive-backed dollar). My thoughts at this point, considering not only our progress but also the challenging state of the crypto market in general, are that the HBD savings tool remains an excellent way to save and generate returns. I say this because even with the APR at 12%, it's still worth investing in HBD.

This week we managed to generate 7,286 HBD. This was because I converted my liquid Hives to HBD right during this price recovery. A week ago, this would have been equivalent to 6 HBD, bringing our total to 2,008,236 HBD.

Compared to last week, when we started with 2,000 HBD, we've now taken our first step of 2,008.236 HBD toward our annual goal of 2,300 HBD. It's a challenging task considering Hive's low price and 12% APR, but I believe it's all about consistency and exploring other opportunities to connect with new Hive communities and reach more users. As long as we remain active and consistent on the platform, the rewards will follow.

In my previous post, I mentioned my interest in investing some of my HBD in second-layer and NFT projects, but recently Hive Engine was apparently compromised, and one of the consequences was that Rising Star, one of my favorite NFT games, will have to rethink its future. This led me to decide not to spend my HBD and to hold onto it until things are back to normal with Hive Engine. Until then, I just want to wish you a productive week and good health. En él, resumo nuestra actividad y producción de la semana pasada, y me sorprendió gratamente lo productiva que fue. He estado terminando las últimas correcciones que mi asesor me envió para mi trabajo y he dedicado las últimas dos semanas a perfeccionar los detalles. Creo que lo tendré listo esta semana. Irónicamente, aunque parece que tengo más tiempo, tengo que organizar mi escritorio en el laboratorio. Está lleno de artículos científicos, manuales y protocolos de laboratorio que leí durante horas para terminar la defensa de mi tesis. Ahora tengo que ordenar mi escritorio para dedicarme a la siguiente etapa de mi carrera profesional: solicitar mi primer proyecto de investigación.

La primera gran noticia que vi mientras preparaba mi café fue que el precio de Hive se había recuperado. ¡Usé $0.065 para intercambiar todo el Hive líquido de mis recompensas semanales (recuerden que, debido al bajo precio de Hive, no estamos recibiendo HBD)! Fue desalentador la semana pasada ver el precio de Hive en $0.058 después de casi alcanzar los $0.09, aunque con las circunstancias actuales, basta un solo evento geopolítico para que todo se derrumbe. Esperemos que esta semana podamos superar esta frágil situación en el mercado de criptomonedas.

Aún no hemos recargado nuestra billetera en Hive; creo que lo haremos hacia finales de este mes. Sin embargo, eso no nos ha impedido continuar con las recargas diarias. Estamos en camino de completar el 5.º Mes de Recargas de Hive, que, sumado a las recompensas de esta semana, ha generado un total de 125 HP, que añadimos a nuestra influencia dentro de la red. Esto me sorprendió, porque pensé que generaría menos, ya que estaba ocupado con mis actividades académicas y docentes, y esta semana será igual: mañana empiezo a dar clases prácticas en el laboratorio, así que no sé si podré salir lo suficientemente temprano para conectarme.

En general, vamos por buen camino. Probablemente alcancemos los 10000 HP esta semana, y en junio comenzaremos formalmente a trabajar para lograr nuestro objetivo anual de 12 000 HP. Se necesitarían seis meses de actividad de red para alcanzar esa cifra, así que creo que es perfectamente factible.

El siguiente parámetro que vamos a revisar es el de nuestros ahorros en HBD, ya en nuestra publicación anterior celebrábamos alcanzar los 2000 HBD luego de 2 años de haber tomado la decisión de ver el potencial de esta herramienta de ahorro dentro de la blockchain, a través de la stablecoin HBD (Dólar respaldado por Hive). Mis pensamientos a estas alturas no solo del camino recorrido, sino del difícil estado del mercado cripto en general, es que la herramienta de ahorros en HBD sigue siendo una excelente iniciativa para ahorrar y generar beneficios. Digo esto porque aún cuando el % de APR se encuentra al 12% sigue valiendo la pena apostar por HBD.

Es una tarea ardua considerando el bajo precio de Hive y del APR a 12% pero creo que todo es cuestión de mantenerse constante y ver que otras oportunidades de conocer otros espacios y/o comunidades de hive que nos permitan relacionarnos con nuevas comunidades y llegar a más usuarios. Mientras sigamos activos y constante en nuestra actividad en la plata forma, las recompensas vendrán solas.

Bien amigos hasta llego con mi reporte semanal de mis metas en Hive, no quería dejar de comentar ese HBD líquido que deje en la billetera. En mi post anterior comenté sobre mi interés de invertir parte de ese HBD en proyectos de segunda capa y NFT, pero recientemente Hive Engine fue al parecer vulnerada y una de las consecuencias de esto fue que Rising Star uno de mis juegos NFT favoritos tendrá que replantearse su futuro, esto me llevó a no gastar ese HBD y mantenerlo hasta que las cosas se regularicen en Hive Engine.
