Hello Splinter nerds
It took a while for me to get this week's Splinterlands battle mage secret challenge battle.
It is Reverse Speed, the only ruleset that is in favor of monsters with low speed as they are given the chance to attack first.
The mana cap of the battle was high enough, it was 40 mana and 3 splinters were available...The fire, earth, and dragon splinter.
When considering a lineup for a battle, you have to consider all the rules that are given and in this battle challenge, We were given two other rulesets along with the reverse speed.
Unprotected: This was the second rule and it means all the monsters do not have any armor, and they don't get armor from abilities or summoner buffs
Shades of Grey: Only neutral monsters can be used and the only difference in this is the stats of the summoner.
I used the Death Splinter summoner Lorkus with the +1 magic and melee stats while the opponent came with Earth Splinter using Immortalis with the Void ability, his shatter ability is useless because no armor can be used in the battle.
The opponent came with strong monsters with powerful attacks but my strategic tactics saved me from his wrath.
My formation
Grimbardun Smith
I was skeptical of the use of Smith as a tank because of fear of the opponent using Venka the vile but I was able to conquer that fear by also using a monster with Taunt ability which I would still write about so I was able to divert those brutal attack to the taunt monster and only monsters with the oppress ability are a threat to Smith.
Moxian Rebel
Moxian was the monster with a weapon training ability that gives Smith magic power, I could have used another nonattack monster in the third position but the nonattack monsters available have slow or swift ability which is not in favor of the rule.
Runi
Runi is the monster of this battle because it was all thanks to it that I was able to win, it did more killings as it was the first to attack and it has a true strike ability which makes it impossible for it to miss any attack, it killed 4 out of the 6 monsters that the opponent used. it didn't give the opponent monsters a chance to carry out an attack.
Spirit hoarder
The hoarder also has a speed of 1 which makes it one of the first attackers and it also has blind which is the reason why the opponent venka could not hit my taunt monster.
Coeurl Lurker:
This is the taunt monster! it has amazing abilities such as thorns, phase, and dodge, which contribute to why Venka missed it, it is not a slow monster and that is why the opponent magic attackers could hit it.
It was an epic win.
