After being a big believer in Mobile MiniGames making monthly update posts with the news and my personal progress, I dropped those as the updates stopped since the main dev moved on to working on AI stuff. This is how things stand 4 months later...
The State Of The Game & Development
Basically everything is still running properly as it did 4 months ago but there hasn't been a single update or patch since the main devs and the team of volunteers behind him fully seemed to have moved on to working on AI with an eye to eventually create AGI.
One of the reasons there have been no patches is because the fear of introducing bugs that afterward need to be fixed. They are also no longer running ads since they are not profitable.
Along with this also comes a completely abandoned social media on @MobileMinigames and a very inactive Discord Server. With non-activity like this, it's nearly impossible to keep a community let alone content creation around the game or investors.
While there are no immediate plans to get back to the game from what it looks like, the new projects are aimed to also support PRPS & DUBI and link to the game so there is at least some hope for the economy not to tank further at this point even though a return to the 10$ DUBI Buy wall seems very far off.
What Went Wrong ?
I still see great potential in the game but so many things got screwed up that the road to recovery is long and nowhere in sight this early in the bull market. The artificial increase of DUBI while the numbers looked promising was the biggest screw-up as the buy-wall never was sustainable and they burned through way too much of they cash reserved to eventually put it 'on pauze' over a year ago now. There are so many basic things that can be done that are totally neglected like
- Having at least some Social Media Activity
- Having PRPS/ DUBI Properly listed on Coinmarketcap
- Giving Liquidity provider Incentives
- Start supporting DUBI price at market value
- Have some kind of update streams
- Keeping Promises around Legacy NFTs
- ...
Instead they just seemed to have fully given up on a game they worked for 7+ years on just like that.
New Project!
They keep hopping from one thing to another hoping one of them takes off but so far this hasn't happened and each of those projects also tends to bring high costs with them to keep them running. The AI Streams on twitch feel dully dead with just a handful of viewers left after some initial hype. It's all just very repetitive and boring after a while and it seems to be far beyond that point.
The hotreload.net product for Unity Devs also seems to have gone down a lot ever since the entire Unity Drama some time back.
The project they are working on now is mysentient.ai which is a AI companion chat bot that went live in pre-alpha last week after running for some time already on Discord. It's not something that I'm personally interested in but there seem to be some that really enjoy it and get attached to it.
It however is costly for them to run and they aim to monetize it in some way using crypton. It will be possible to also buy this with PRPS/DUBI and Crypton from the game will be able to get used but that feature isn't included yet. It also is very hard to do given the current price of PRPS/DUBI which means all revenue would go the the value of those coins while devs need the money in order to keep things running.
There are plans to integrate the AI stuff into the game in the hope for it to revive in some way so at least it's something.
Deception and Disappointment
Following everything that has been going since PRPS/DUBI started 7+ Years ago mostly has been a journey of frustration and by now Athene has fully lost my trust in anything he says going forward unless there are some actual results. The crypto side of things also continues to be fully neglected leaving everyone that invested totally in the dust with no real outlook for recovery as they only have around 100k in runway while they need 10M+ and more as time goes by to get the buy wall back which at best would put PRPS at 5$.
This said, I do still believe the intentions to do good in the world are there and that everyone in the building is working hard to make things happen. However, this doesn't mean that those who invested money aren't going to get screwed over more or just been thrown a bone in case things take off. Everything comes down to trusting Athene at the moment and he simply doesn't deserve this anymore after everything these past couple of years.

PRPS and DUBI are still burned daily from deals that are being bought on https://shop.mobileminigames.com/ but aside from that they are almost completely disconnected from the Crypto Space with just a tiny liquidity pool and some trading on dubiex

Personal Game Progress
I continue to play the game daily for just 5-10 minutes compounding my earnings by exporting more exclusive skins that I have in my account which continue to generate Crypton. I can't see a scenario where the game is taken offline at least not without a compensation to for the Crypton a the Generation. So in that regard, I'm quite happy to keep playing and hoping on better times even though those seems far off at the moment because how the devs are treating their own game.
I haven't been spending any money in the game for a long time but might look to get the Daily Quest Completion boosts + Golden Boosts for an entire 2024 which would cost <30$ while the full in-game app store price would be 517$+. Right now, I'm earning around 12k Crypton a day which is around a dollar a day in case I would sell at current prices or +7.3% APY based on the investment I made in the game so at least I'm still getting something.
