What a beautiful day to do my first #LPUD (Leo Power Up Day)! It turns out that today marks exactly one year since this monthly event that is held every fifteen days was inaugurated. A year ago I was already part of the chain, however it is not until today (June 15, 2023) that I have the knowledge and resources to do my first #LPUD.
To tell the truth, it is not my first Leo Power Up (but it is the first on a designated date), since during the recently completed adoption campaign for the new Leo Finance interface I had the opportunity to power up up to 1000 $LEO tokens.
And precisely thanks to my results in the campaign (more info in my next post) I have been able to Power Up an additional 150 $LEO tokens today.
To do this Power Up it is necessary to access the new LeoFinance interface (https://leofinance.io), go to our profile and finally to the Wallet section.
Once there we can see several widgets that show the price of $LEO, $HIVE and $HBD in real time. In the General section we will see how many $LEO tokens we have and how much LEO Power (LP) we have. It is also possible to see if we have any Power Down in progress and finally, an estimated value (in dollars) of our Leo Finance account.
To do the Power Up, you just have to press the up arrow button 🔼, a pop-up window like the one below will be shown, in "To" place your username (if the Power Up is for you) or the from another account (if the Power Up is for another person) and in the "Amount" field enter the amount of $LEO you want to stack. Finally, check again that everything is correctly written and hit that Power Up button so that all that power reaches your account converted into LEO Power.
In my case, I will be doing the Power Up with the minimum amount possible for #LPUD purposes. I have many more $LEO tokens available but I prefer to keep them liquid for the moment and month after month do a LEO Power Up. I think I have enough for the next seven months.
Said and done, after doing my LEO Power Up you can see how I now have 1150 LP. I am very proud of my development within the community since in just 45 days I have seen my LP go from 0 to 1150 units (and I am going for more).
Something that has not yet been shown and I hope that at some point it will be resolved are the LP delegations that we receive or make. In my case I am being benefited with a delegation of 1500 $LEO tokens but it is still not displayed on the interface.

The advantages of Power Up my $LEO tokens are several and I do not want to close this article without first mentioning some:
Doing Power Up blocks, for at least 28 days, the $LEO tokens in our wallet, so this action indirectly helps to maintain the price. The more tokens we have in the form of LP, the less circulating there is and the token is considered scarcer.
It is a proof of our confidence in the project. Those of us who have seen the progress, studied the behavior of the token and enjoyed this new space (which is still under construction) support the project and enjoy doing Power Up.
Having 1000 LP gives us access to one of the 6 ways that currently exist to opt for the curation of
, the LeoFinance curator account.
In a process similar to HIVE Power, when we have LEO Power and upvote other people's posts, we contribute and earn $LEO tokens back. So doing LEO Power Up is a way to maximize our healing rewards.

¡Qué hermoso dÃa para hacer mi primer #LPUD (Leo Power Up Day)! Resulta que hoy se cumple justo un año desde que se inauguró este evento mensual que se celebra cada dÃa quince. Hace un año atrás yo ya formaba parte de la cadena, sin embargo no es hasta hoy (15 de junio de 2023) que cuento con el conocimiento y los recursos para hacer mi primer #LPUD.
A decir verdad, no es mi primer Leo Power Up (pero sà el primero en fecha señalada), ya que durante la recién culminada campaña de adopción por la nueva interfaz de Leo Finance tuve la oportunidad de encender hasta 1000 $LEO tokens.
Y precisamente gracias a mis resultados en la campaña (más info en mi próximo post) he podido hacer el Power Up de 150 $LEO tokens adicionales el dÃa de hoy.
Para hacer este Power Up es necesario acceder a la nueva interfaz de LeoFinance (https://leofinance.io), dirigirnos a nuestro perfil y por último al apartado Wallet.
Una vez ahà podremos visualizar varios widgets que muestran en tiempo real el precio de $LEO, $HIVE y $HBD. En la sección de General vamos a ver con cuántos tokens $LEO contamos y cuánto LEO Power (LP) tenemos. También es posible ver si tenemos algún Power Down en curso y por último, un valor estimado (en dólares) de nuestra cuenta de Leo Finance.
Para hacer el Power Up solo hay que presionar en el botón de flecha arriba 🔼, se nos mostrará una ventana emergente como la que aparece a continuación, en "To" coloca tu nombre de usuario (si el Power Up es para ti) o el de otra cuenta (si el Power Up es para otra persona) y en el campo "Amount" coloca la cantidad de $LEO que quieres stackear. Por último vuelve a checar que todo esté bien escrito y pégale a ese botón de Power Up para que todo ese poder llegue a tu cuenta convertido en LEO Power.
En mi caso, estaré haciendo el Power Up con la mÃnima cantidad posible para efectos del #LPUD. Tengo muchos más $LEO tokens disponibles pero prefiero mantenerlos lÃquidos por el momento y mes tras mes hacer un LEO Power Up. Creo que me alcanzan para los próximos siete meses.
Dicho y hecho, luego de hacer mi LEO Power Up puedes ver como ahora tengo 1150 LP. Estoy muy orgulloso de mi desarrollo dentro de la comunidad ya que en apenas 45 y dÃas he visto mi LP ir de 0 a 1150 unidades (y voy por más).
Algo que aún no se muestra y espero que en algún momento se resuelva son las delegaciones de LP que recibimos o hacemos. En mi caso estoy siendo beneficiado con una delegación de 1500 $LEO tokens pero aún no se visualiza en la interfaz.

Las ventajas de hacer Power Up de mis tokens $LEO son varias y no quiero cerrar este artÃculo sin antes citar algunas:
Hacer Power Up bloquea, por al menos 28 dÃas, los tokens $LEO en nuestra wallet, por lo que esta acción ayuda indirectamente a que se mantenga el precio. Mientras más tokens tengamos en forma de LP menos circulante existe y el token se considera más escaso.
Es una prueba de nuestra confianza en el proyecto. Aquellos que hemos evidenciado el progreso, estudiado el comportamiento del token y disfrutamos de este nuevo espacio (que aún está en construcción) apoyamos el proyecto y disfrutamos haciendo Power Up.

En un proceso similar al que sucede con el HIVE Power, cuando tenemos LEO Power y damos votos positivos a los posts de otras personas, aportamos y ganamos tokens $LEO de vuelta. Asà que hacer LEO Power Up es una manera de maximizar nuestras recompensas de curación.
