What a difference 12 months does when you are consistent and focused on growing your bags. The above screenshot was taken at the end of last year and below is one I took this evening. The difference in growth is 91 000 extra COTI tokens plus the all important 47 000 extra GCOTI tokens which helps boost the APR currently at a rate of 23.18%. The extra 47000 GCOTI does not represent huge value as an investment, but more for what it offers to the overall growth of the stake. Some quick calculations tell me that this represents an extra 30 COTI earned daily which is rather important in the daily growth.
To think that the 157 000 COTI had taken nearly 3 years to accumulate and within one year had grown that stake by an extra 60%. I am not sure if this is possible to grow that stake again by the same percentages The 91 000 COTI represents a good 7 500 monthly gain so targeting an extra 4 500 on top of this seems highly unlikely. 12 K monthly via rewards and growth I am not ruling out and is a target to aim for next year. I expect a more moderate in between number of around 10K which would be a growth of around 50% which is still remarkably decent.
The only way 12K can be achieved each month is if by some how by magic I can grow the GCOTI number level with the current COTI stake then I would say it was a realistic expectation. The problem with crypto is we do not know what is possible and one can never rule anything out. The markets could change within a very short period of time changing nay plans you might have. This is probably why it is best to go with the flow and accumulate as quickly as possible and not worry about setting any form of targets. From experience the targets normally come to you and you end up changing them anyway which is never a bad thing to have to do.
If the markets go sideways in 2026 all this means is that this will be another year of accumulation and even though I would like to see some type of Bull Cycle this year which I do think will happen having a sideways market is also not such a bad thing. At some point when ever that might be our crypto bags will explode and having bigger bags than previously expected is a big bonus.
I still believe firmly in that one can make a life changing amount over a 2 year cycle or an 8-10 year period if they stick to the plan of accumulation. Another 4 years of this type of percentage growth would see my COTI stake nearing the 1 million COTI stake mark which would be a good solid round number especially if the token price rises over that time period which it should. With privacy going to be the leading narrative going forward and COTI leading the privacy technology having as many COTI has to be my focus. One has to keep in mind it is not the speculation of the markets , but protocol fundamentals that will determine whether your investment has mass adoption.
