This I believe is the beauty of the Hive blockchain as who doesn't like to give things to other people. I am one who enjoys giving more than receiving and being able to do that day in and day out supporting others makes me happy. Even at Christmas I prefer to see the peoples faces receiving the gifts than worrying about what I might have as that is secondary.
Hive at 16c or whatever it is now doesn't really hit home the power we have to help change lives. Personally my original target was to have the equivalent of 1 Hive as a vote so I could hand out 10 Hive per day, 5 for everyone and 5 for me in curation.
That has changed over the years and now I can give out roughly 3 Hive on a vote so 30 Hive per day or 900 Hive per month which would equate to 450 Hive for everyone. Hive at $1 would be marvelous as $450 doesn't sound like much as it is spread out to many users, but it adds up and can make a difference no matter how small.
I am working on the same philosophy with the tribes as my initial aim is to have 1 Leo per vote so growing the stake is important. Currently at 0.140 Leo so a long way off but the target is set and the journey is well under way.
Leo is at $0.66 c today so the vote is worth a little over 9c currently, but that combined with the hive power it is starting to be worth something even at these low prices. Leo would have to be at $7 for a $1 vote right now which is not out of the question with what is going on here right now.
When I first joined Hive the value was around the $4.50 mark which with my current stake would offer $67.50 per day or over $2000 per month in vote values handed out which is a decent sum. I think this excites me more than what I would make as I find the enjoyment in supporting others.
The whales on Leo make a huge difference and the impact that they can make on someone's life is massive as take a large whale who could pay someones rent with one vote holds huge power in how they vote. This is more relevant on tribes like Leo as on Hive we don't see many whale votes supporting users. This is a reality and it shows how important Hive and Leo are to peoples lives as the impact is huge when we start to think about the possibilities. This would not be just impacting on third world countries either as Leo could easily hit $10 in the future as it is maintaining it's 4 x over Hive which it looks like is the gauge mark now.
