I was reading an article this morning about an Italian bank moving in to supply Crypto services from 2021. These news snippets are becoming more and more regular and they are dotted all over the world. It is like they know they have no choice and are slowly giving in and it is one here and there right now but soon they will all be folding their hands as they have no choice. 5 years ago this would be unheard of and why I believe things are slowly starting to align for crypto in general. It is like the little boy sticking his finger in the hole in the dike to stop what is going to happen as we know it will.
Banking as we know it needs to change drastically otherwise those not involved will become dinosaurs and left out the loop. The speed with which the financial industry is changing right now we cannot see but if we look back in a few years time we will notice all the changes and how quickly they actually happened.
When you believe in a project and are involved in something you cannot always see the developments around you until it is actually happening. For banks and financial institutions to finally accept crypto is a big thing in the first place as they can see the huge potential otherwise they would not be doing these things right now.
I look forward to the day that my bank is linked to my crypto in some form or other making everyday life that much more simple. Security has always been an issue for me and will also be to many millions of others as unfortunately once burnt twice shy is very true.
Banks providing services like wallets and custody with protection is a way for them to be a part of everything. Those that don't get involved soon will be left out as once investors have made their choices who to deal with changing may not be something many will be happy to do. I have been with my bank for nearly 30 years and have no reason to change unless they are slow to accept services for crypto.
Any negative reports we see today I believe is still to try and stop the masses getting involved whilst the institutions try and fill their pockets. They want to get as much as possible right now and the likes of Paypal are not stupid as they can see the writing is already on the wall.
With all that is going on mass adoption cannot be far away and we are talking years and I cannot see it being many. Maybe 5 years or less as things have changed too much just in the last 12 months to slow things down. It is like a time bomb right now as things could explode any day and I believe next year 2021 is going to be a big year for everyone involved.
