I’m sitting here looking at the numbers, and honestly, it’s been one of those months where the "real world" and the "crypto world" are both trying to see who can be more annoying. I maintained my usual Hive meetup this month same faces, same stubbornness and I’ve been grinding away in the Awesome Drop Bears Splinterlands guild, trying to keep my head above water while the competition gets fiercer. Meanwhile, out here in Australia, the price of petrol is doing its best impression of a moonshot, which is great for the oil companies but absolute garbage for my wallet. I’m not holding my breath for some miracle, but man, I really need some big moves in HIVE to offset the cost of just existing lately. It’s a weird feeling, watching the cost of living climb while the market acts like it’s stuck in a waiting room.
Despite the dumpster fire that is the global economy, I managed to accumulate 1891.804 HIVE this month. As I’ve done in previous months, I didn’t just find this under a rock I got here by trading and selling off other tokens in my portfolio. I’m basically trimming the fat and consolidating into what I actually believe in. If a token isn't doing anything for me, it’s gone. I’d rather have a stack of HIVE that I can actually use and power up than a bunch of "maybe" coins sitting in a wallet gathering digital dust. It’s about focus. I’m tired of spreading myself thin across projects that don’t have the same level of community or utility that I see here every day.
Consistency Over Hype
I’ve seen enough cycles to know that waiting for the "perfect" time to buy or power up is a fool’s errand. You just have to do the work. For me, that work involves looking at my portfolio, realizing some of those other tokens are just noise, and rotating that value back into HIVE. It’s a slow process of refinement. I’m not expecting HIVE to solve all my problems tomorrow, especially not with the way things are going but I’m also not going to sit around and do nothing while the world gets more expensive. I’m making my own luck by being consistent. If HIVE decides to finally make those big moves I’m hoping for, I want to be positioned to actually benefit from it, not just watching from the sidelines with a handful of dead altcoins.
Also, quick reminder that I'm a Hive witness. if you'd like to support my work, you can vote for me here
