Finally, it's the LPUD... Lions roar!!!
First of all, let me congratulate #Khal and the #Leofinance team for the successful launch of the alpha release of the Project Blank; well done! I love it and the lions are loving it too. Even #greta is very pleased by the new #threads UI (user interface).
She opposed climate change but she approved the #newui change; how cool! And we'll talk about that in a while. Before that, let me talk about LPUD first.
I just powered up 202 Leo tokens!
About a week ago I set a 100 Leopower goal but then I changed it to a 150 Leopower goal because I'm motivated to participate in the #LPUD or Leo Power Up Day. Although I set a fixed 150 Leopower goal, I'm still aiming to go higher than that. And the only way to achieve this is to consistently purchase some Leo tokens in the open market.
My post earnings didn't make it to my goal and so I resort to buying it from Leodex using the market price of around 5 cents. At this current price, the Leo token is greatly undervalued considering the fact that it almost touched down to the $1 price mark some time ago.
Buying the Leo token at this price level is a no-brainer; it's a potential 20x gem! And I'm very optimistic about that and here's why...
Project Blank aka "The Twittah-Killah"
It's an entirely new experience than what he had on Threads. It's way faster! The interface looks so sleek... considering that it's just the alpha version.
There's a Twitter vibe to it except that it's secured and my threads reside in the Hive blockchain. It's fast and immutable and I can monetize my content.
Here are the features that I like the most about this new UI:
Quick Threading
The posting thread is accessible and it's very easy. As you click on the Home button you may simply thread whatever you want and click on the "Thread" button. Simplicity at its best!
Quick Reply
Simply click on the "Text Icon button" and a sub-window will pop up. It looks like this:
From here I can just type my reply, then click the "Thread" icon to post my reply, and then click on the "x" button to exit the window. The beauty of this is that I stayed on the same page of the threads; I don't have to look from where I left off before the new window pop-ups. This is a very smooth threading experience which is a good improvement from the previous Thread interface.
Jazzed up Notifications
I take Notifications seriously because it's part of the experience that I feel more engaged with the other users. The new Notifications are giving me a ton of details and I really like that. The devs have done a great job on the speed of the info-packed notifications for this new UI.
Just a little request... please add "filters" that would be awesome!
Name
I can personalize my name now! Now that's very Twitter-like and for me, that feature works. The new UI displays my "nickname" and my Hive username at the same time. It's a minor improvement but it has a good impact on the experience and I like how the UI designers of Project Blank are considering these kinds of details.*
Bottom line
I'm impressed with the Leo team's attention to detail with this new UI. It's stylish and they are setting a higher standard for every Hive frontend at this point.
Project Blank is currently in the alpha phase of development and I'm already happy with the way things are building up. The hard work that they put into this new UI is evident. What's fascinating is that the development has just started and there more features planned for it.
Even though there are features missing at this point like the Logout button, Follow button, and Voting issues for Firefox... these are nothing compared to the other features that work beautifully. I believe these minor fixes will be settled soon. Truthfully these ones don't even bother as long as I can Thread fast and engage with the other Lions more efficiently. That's all I need during this LPUD and the rest of my Leo journey.
