I have a land on Sandbox so I participated in its Alpha 3 Season that ended a few days ago. This time they require users to do KYC to get rewards, which I think is good for avoiding manipulation and bots, although I really don't like KYC.
But what the heck, I did it. Sandbox collaborate with a KYC firm named Synap to perform KYC for them - you need to do live face scan, which is really annoying as I tried many times to finally pass it. Then you need to submit an ID scan and I got rejected once.
Thank God finally I got them all done. Then it pops out the above screen asking if I want to use these to establish my own DID so I can use them on other projects in the future.
I am interested in the concept of DID so I thought why not... they have my data anyway now...
Okay okay, I admit that that the hint of airdrop also influenced my decision a bit. 🤑
I was on Polygon and you need to sign/agree for 2 or 3 times so they can get the job done.
So they said I exist now. XD

I know our Hive itself is a DID. We are ahead of this, yeah. But it's also interesting to know what's out there, advancing the crypto circle.
