The "Road to the Final Four" makes its final stops this weekend as the Elite Eight matchups begin today. The Big Ten conference has a chance to make history and become only the 2nd conference to ever put 3 teams in the Final Four in the same year, matching the Big East back in 1985 when Villanova, Georgetown, and St Johns did it.
The first game features two Big Ten schools going head to head with 3-seed Illinois taking on 9-seed Iowa. The Illini beat the Hawkeyes at Iowa during the year 75-69, but Iowa has already knocked out a 1 seed when they took down Florida so they've proven they can beat anyone.
Game two features 1-seed Arizona vs 2-seed Purdue. Both teams spent time ranked 1st in the polls during the year and both rolled into the tournament winning their conference tourneys. Should be a good one.
Tomorrow features 1-seed Michigan vs 6-seed Tennessee and bluebloods Duke vs UConn.
If you like college basketball, it doesn't get much better than this. #collegebasketball
