The rise of everything electronic is increasing its pace. E-library, e-books, e-mails which have been much expanded by social media, E-exam, E-ink technology, e-learning platforms and many others. Talking of e-Ink technology, I could remember trying to cover it in a seminar presentation some years ago.
There is still a lot to learn here. Cultism remains a big threat and concerns especially in the youth age range. As we speak, it has sneaked it way into secondary school education, but before getting there, our focus in this article will be on tertiary grounds. How can it be curbed in the tertiary space or has it been unknowingly tackled?
There are always some if not lots of advantages in-between some new steps taken. For instance, you may decide to be waking up early enough just to have a one hour workout or joking. This of course is good for keeping fit and general health. Meanwhile, another thing you may not observe is that in the long run, your body system will become so acquainted with waking up early, an added advantage. Or we can also look at loving to play games like football.
I could remember those good old days of at least once a week training. My focus was on the lov of the game but another side advantage was that I barely got sick because I will always be sweating out some unnecessaries during the process.

Heading to our main context, tertiary education can be an influential ground especially to youth. It is in this period that one may make one wrong decisive move that hampers his future. Peer pressure, socialization, environment, reading habit and so on. I have seen one who was well, maybe it was just a pretention until the appointed moment. This individual entirely change when entering the four walls of tertiary institutions.
From my own experiences, I could remember my days of early tertiary academic pursuit. Having to leave home to go and live around a school area in a far land was one big experience. The daily school setting was rough, you will meet people; good, bad and the ugly. In short, you must be very skeptical of who you sit with, where you engage yourself so that you don't fall victim to a crisis. That assumption that he Sat that with so and so guy and probably should be one of their cult group members could land you six feet before the truth is even realized.
I had to formulate my own survival rules; head to school when you have classes, leave immediately after lecture time is up. No hanging around, no inviting friends to home or even heading to theirs; I wasn't planning to mistakenly become a returnee cultist when I actually left home for academics.

This is something I have had to compare with how Open and Distance learning institutions are helping curb some unhealthy excesses. In the absence of daily face to face convening, it becomes difficult to form unnecessary gangs. Here, you learn from home, read from home, do your assignment from home and we'll, once in a while, come out to sit for your examinations.
The forum or faculty platform becomes open for everyone, not to actually TRY to identify with a particular set but rather to ask for academic related information from the general group. Although social media can be seen as another virtual cult ground I can say in terms of academics it is the vice.
To conclude, let me add, I think with more enlightenment, parents will start shifting their children from the traditional tertiary environment to e-portal learning practices. I personally prefer this idea. There are so many things that will be curtailed in the process; sum total high cost of learning, stress, time management, decreased peer pressure and most,
