Easy to say and well, it takes composure to execute. The greatest assets on the surface of the Earth are humans and adding to that, they can be very troublesome. Disagreements, arguments, beliefs, good and bad will Power; you can continue counting them: these make approaches very tactical. Who is right and who is wrong? We are talking about peace here.
I have been in business for a while NOW and one of those things I have learned is dealing with people. It has been one of such challenging talks in the office but I so much thank God it all ended well in the later part of the day.
One of the things I can advise you to TRY your best to keep is standards. I mean, if you will have to disagree a little with customers before finally coming to an alliance. The fact is, if your standard is annulled, then you’ve been robbed of your vision.
Good business is a plus and minus and understanding not just gain but rather profitable gains. Running a business that is eye-catching and customer satisfying has a cost; better pay. The fast switch in products prices and commodities pushes expenses into another direction. It can be a question of how to plan and cover up every expense loophole fast enough.
It was one of those striking balances I was trying to make with a customer concerning this fast switch. Ok, don't just expect everyone to understand you. Most time it is them weighing their pockets or on the other hand, seeing has standardized your operations are. It can be dicey especially when you are still in the SME phase.

When the boss is part of the working team, bargaining for adjustments flow in very rapid. Ok, they've seen you, all complaints can come in. I had to explain to a customer about a recent bad product/service pricing and why we cannot flow. As surprising as it can seem, it led to a scenario I wasn't even prepared for. When you think calmly; ‘sir we are sorry but we can't do anything less to solve a problem’, you get a blastfull reaction that you are operating inhuman.
Sometimes you wish some customers can just understand that they are going to take your entire day a good chunk of it. Adding to that, even in the process of work transfer, you will have to pay someone to deliver on time. This is where you won't want to just be whiling away time; there must be something left called realized profit.
In conclusion, the argument was high and deal was cancelled or perhaps undisclosed till my further steps. I just had to reconsider one or two things and later went back to the customer to strike a new deal. My idea was to make peace with him while also informing him the need to respect our standards. We all have flaws I guess and adding to that, let's not fade away a good relationship over what we can easily settle. As I earlier said, dealing with people is part of entrepreneurship.
