The last results of our entrepreneurial grant competition are yet to be. I saw some flaws in my video pitching and I have learned a lot. I still remain very positive of qualifying for the final round; this is where favor can speak. I must say I have learned a lot; from being able to put down our sector into writing to acting it out in a video.
Even my co-partner wasn't taking the entire thing very seriously until I told him, we just passed into the Next stage. NOW, they need us to pitch a video concerning our brand, inside our brand and very importantly, I will have to be the anchor man. I saw the green light ALL around him. Finally an opportunity for us to announce our brand much broader.
Anyway the entire thing was really on my head, I had to take another look at our working space and the need to make some adjustments. While everyone was concentrating on work available, I had to pause work that day knowing the earlier I set the arena, the better. He (my co-partner) will be Moving out in the afternoon and I will also love him to be around to participate in the video.
Ahh! We will need a camera person who has experience on using the camera frequently and adding to that, the phone to be used trucks have a sharp camera for beauty and professionality purposes. I had to put a call through to someone I trust can handle that effectively and without any cost. That deal was sealed and we moved on. Finally, after rearranging to fit a perfect shot, everything was drawing close to a perfect moment.
This was me standing with my videographer and assuming where actually to start. I have never done this before so you know it came with that first time pressure where you may even forget what to say. The way I will start goes a long way in catching scorer/voters attention. It was something I picked from our facilitator; do well to make it first time catching an eye Video duration was to be 2 minutes at most. And you know, there is a need to play by the rules

And I did just that. After summing up courage to face the camera for 1:40 seconds which felt like a lot of time (of course I was curious, I thought I had nailed it until my co-partner questioned the videographer concerning poor coverage. The camera was just on me and the environment was cut off. I could understand what he meant and well, you know what that means, I will have to muster up the courage to shoot another video.
We go again and finally, something much better in terms of overall business coverage. Nevertheless, what made me side with the first video was the fact that I did cover a lot of constructive and reasonable speech but what can I do? Finally, the long awaited video was cooked and read for delivery.
To conclude, let me add, I am happy that I did not shrink back from the pitching through any form of procrastination. In short, that video just gave me a call from someone I had shared with to help us vote. He was interested in our branding services. You can see how marketing can be made simple with such a small 1 minute and some seconds video. I am planning of doing another marketing video as we speak and this time much more qualitative than the earlier. I have seen opportunity beyond just pitching for a grant; advertising this brand to more eyes.
