We were done with Justin Sun but he was not done with us!

If you need more reason to power down and port over to Hive, this is it. Justin Sun just instituted a soft fork to freeze wallets of influential users of Steem - those who supported the fork – especially the witnesses who advocated for the Hive fork.

Big baby Justin Sun just dropped his ice cream and he is throwing a tantrum.

He doesn’t like the fact that we all left. He doesn’t like the fact that the Steem Inc (STINC) stake was put straight into the Hive DAO. He doesn’t like that he was airdropped Hive equivalent to the legitimate sum of his account holdings on Steem.

The consequent post announcing this on the Steem Blockchain "We Need Your Help to Protect Steem" is so poorly written, you can only envisage an individual, whom English is not their first language, scrapping it up off the cuff.

Absolutely zero effort in elucidating every point in a way that brings out the intent.

However, even after a bit of a struggle, you can obviously infer that Justin Sun is just locking up as much Steem as possible from Hive dissidents to preserve whatever value Steem has left.

This is just the beginning. Most of us may hold less than 1000 Steem and may feel inconsequential but you know for a fact he will extend that freeze to as many people as he can if he doesn't get what he wants.

What does he want?

Justin Sun wants money - as much money as he can put his hands on.

He wants a taste of that Hive honey currently in the DAO. He wants to prop up Steem as long as possible to allow him to slowly leach out a substantial profit.

With the freeze currently in place with the help of greedy witnesses, Sun can easily add to the list of frozen accounts to incorporate as many large Steem holders including those who support him.

• You see, Justin does not need the Witnesses.

He has a bunch of sock-puppets he can easily vote back into consensus. The only reason he put in real users was to create an impression/illusion that he had, in his own words, "Restored Community Governance".

But as you can see from the screenshot below, dissidents will not be allowed on the Steem Blockchain under Justin Sun's watch.

• The message is clear, stick in line, do what you are told or you are out.

Blockbrothers, Dlike, Snackplus, and DTube lost the very strong dev365 vote since they refused to back the softfork and consequently fell out of consensus, from top 20 to below 50.

That is what you call centralization. The main reason why Hive was born to remedy the ills of Steem that had remained unfixed.

I can already see a community freeze of large stakes taking place and a consequent fork which would allow Justin Sun to liquidate all his Steem and dump it on the market.

Steem has been pumping. It looks like an artificial propping up of the price which would allow Sun to programmatically sell chunks of his Steem and leave the community holding the bags.

I can already see it in my head. This is how this #HostileTakeOver ends.

If you are not yet in the list, note that as this situation escalates, exchange wallets are likely to be suspended, possible delisting of Steem and SBD and you will be left holding something you cannot exchange making it worthless.

Take this latest move however you will and make your own decisions without any regrets in the outcome. As for me, I am going back into the trenches hoping I end up with all my Steem ready to convert to Hive.
