As we all know in Hive blog, Steemit gave birth to Hive...there was a hard fork and all the people on steemit got transferred to hive with all their crypto assets being doubled. Even though Hive made it's way to the market and started trading below $0.2. It made rich people because people had two accounts to count crypto from.
I say "people" and not I because I didn't benefit from that. I was hustling be a doctor which I've become now. But becoming a doctor in a country like this makes me wonder if it's worth it.
You see when Steemit was hot back in say 2017/18 my younger sister was selling Oriflame products and if you don't know what that is, let me help you...
Oriflame is some Swiss company that makes most of their money through networking and sales of really expensive products that they convince people are better than the products they have on a regular day. So if you can't afford to have it regularly...save up and buy Oriflame roll on even when Sure does the same exact thing. They convinced their sellers that Oriflame would have them selling more than just products.
My sister was deep into the...cult...👀👀
I had begged her to join steemit. But she was a bit reluctant...she's not like me who loves the concept of free money so much...so she questioned it a lot while trying to take it serious.
I was big on helping out cause made it the in thing. I made her account and named her
. A name coined out of her disease Oriflame.
...We use to make fun of this rich bitch behind her back and for that...I don't apologise. Becaus back then she was broke and struggling and Oriflame kept dangling a life that she may never have gotten in front of her naive 19 year old eyes.
She eventually accepted the account with the dumb name youg boss karin...and I think to piss us off she started posting Oriflame ads as her post.
I can't tell you how tired I was at this point.
This was after I had bought cupcakes for her from the cake doctors who were baking in our hostel back then for about $7.
Today I'm happy that I did all that because the return on investment has been huge. If what I spent was $7 and today she's worth over $2,000...I think I made a wise decision.
I'm still trying to build myself cause I've been lazy as hell...but I think my big break will come too.
I hope this post has taught you invest in others and you start to do the same.
