If you're in the crypto space, even with the best of charts and a strong analytical mind, one thing is obvious when we try to predict the markets in the short to medium term - the realization that it's all folly. Am not trying to do the impossible with my limited knowledge of how markets analytics actually work. Broadly speaking though, I do believe that things are a lot easier to predict when we consider the long term direction of the markets. What's more, there are evident pointers that are almost certain to generate positive market reactions.
Some are a lot more direct in terms of their involvement in the crypto space. Examples are court hearings in favor of crypto projects or extreme regulations being dropped. These will create an almost instantaneous rally from the markets as they head towards an upward trajectory. Yet for the most parts, the forces that causes market swings often come unannounced and unexpected. Negative news can come in at any time and leave us feeling the effects in an instant.
Having reliable growth pointers helps us build confidence in the space as a whole. If we all know that the price of Hive will grow exponentially by years end for example, we'd all be very busy with stockpiling our assets. The occurrence of some of these events should inevitably cause the space to rally and hopefully sustain its momentum. These events are likely to occur at some point in the future, but their time frame isn't particularly known.
War in Ukraine
In the early days of the conflict, I talked about the role crypto was playing, particularly in sending aid to those in Ukraine. Crypto as a global asset cannot be overlooked, and this has been made particularly evident by war torn countries. Those who fled the Taliban for instance would have been able to leave with some of their assets had they stored them in crypto, irrespective of where they lived in the World. I believe things like conflict on this scale has further highlighted this point.
You may wonder why I think this will be major for crypto, seeing as there are seemingly only two nations at War and the cryptoverse continues to forge ahead. After Wars come introspection, reflection and rebuilding and crypto is definitely going to play a part in that.
Global Economic Recovery
We're no strangers to economic meltdowns, and the one that is slowly creeping up on us isn't new either. We are almost certain of our ability to adapt though, and bouncebackability is something we've come to expect from any economic meltdown. Again I can't put my fingers on a timeline, but this one in particular has me excited about the prospects.
Conclusion
I just decided to spill some random thoughts just because, and it'll be interesting to hear what you guys think will be the turning points in our crypto market journey.
