I've been on this platform for quite a bit of time now (albeit on and off). Unfortunately, my own Hive success story is still quite far ahead (largely my fault), yet everyday I remain thankful for discovering and deciding to continue on the platform. Hive was my gateway into the crypto World, but the takeaways and applications I have had from this platform are felt across several other areas of my life.
One of the first realizations I have learned from my stay here is how Time moves very fast. Five years might sound like a lot, but in actual facts it really isn't the case. Five years of genuine consistency definitely would've placed me in a stronger position with Hive, or anything else really. Both for those who waste it and those who utilize it building consistently, the coming of time is inevitable and will get to us regardless.
Dividends are a very popular financial term. A lot of investors want to reap dividends but many miss the key ingredient that will facilitate that ambition, which is patience. Many investors have achieved financial freedom by having the double twin virtue of patience and foresight which many overlook. We want it now, I know, cause am no different. Having adequate financial resources at my disposal now will fix a lot (maybe the majority) of my problems. Yet the impatient are often led astray.
I often write financial advice type posts like this to conceptualize what may be hidden thoughts in my mind from my own personal experience and the best possible solution forward. I say this because many of us are still trying to forge a financial path for ourselves and perhaps can relate. It can sometimes feel like a never ending struggle and on really tough days I question the essence of working so hard just to accumulate wealth that we're going to leave anyways, lol.
More seriously though, why the rush I wonder? I have so many projects I abandon after a few days, weeks or times of trying because I wasn't getting expected traction and lost motivation. Sure, if I was consistently putting in effort into something of interest for a sustained period of time and nothing came out of it, then perhaps giving up will be justified. Hive is one of a few things over the last couple of years that I've stayed consistent, and the lessons have been many.
Conclusion
Shareholding is for me the ultimate proof of belief in an investment. If you believe in the potential to pay dividends over time then we should all work together towards increasing our various stakes. I read an article by Tarazkp that talked about interest and compounding and how seemingly insignificant sums become major over time. Patience is the realization that the future is inevitable, and backed by belief in our product, imagine what the value of our stakes could be in another five years.
