ChatGPT has taken the world by storm. And ever since 2022 they have hit the market, they have made many new things and broken a lot of industries over a period of time. They have made the usage of the data and automation lot easier than it ever could in the past.
Now blockchains too are adopting the GPT and the AI models. And this way they have made the life easier for the consumers to face the chains and the tools that are being developed. So extending on that narrative alot of chains are making the blockchain education easier using the Chat AI models.
Polkadot has decided to take the gamble on AI and use it for the chain education. And for this Polkabot AI has been created and they are going to make it useful for the education for their chain and other FAQ style activities on this model.
Let's take a look at this new service offered by the Polkadot and how it can be useful for the consumers of that chain.
What is PolkaBot AI and what it does for me?
Polkadot is a blockchain that works on the permission based system to allow the layer 2 on their chain. The governance system of the chain has been popular for various type of the layer 2 based dApps and the services. And this means they need a lot of resources people on educating the masses for making the marketing. However this task has been reduced to short using the AI bot for the education.
This bot is like any other ChatGPT like conversational AI. Here the focus is that the chatbot has been designed for the users who want to know how to do things around the blockchain. This would help both the new users and the develoeprs who want to navigate their way around the blockchain. And this is how the Polkadot AI is going to solve most of their basic public facing FAQ issues.

My Personal Experience with Polkabot AI
I decided to give a shot to the AI model. And asked him some of the basic questions related to the development. LIke say "how to develop on the polkadot chain?". Instead of giving me answers on how to program and what to do to create app. The answer was more towards staking the assets and also making sure to put the validator node. That was not my question at all. It seems like AI is not yet trained.
In order to program on any chain, you need their SDK, base language guides and also the sandbox on which to test. Including the sample wallets, fake testnet where to deploy etc. But none of that was given as a direction. Which makes you think AI is still in the 2nd standard or so. And we are asking it questions of the college and university level. It has mostly basic and generic answers for now.
Blockchains using AI models, Don't trust them yet!
It's too early and there seems to be many things going bad. Like this AI bot is giving bad advice which is not even accurate. Imagine AI creating their own address and trying to build the bad signals in the market for the crypto. This sort of the manipulation can be bad and also it would lead to some of the really worst type of the results. Which goes to show that we can't trust it as of yet.
Blockchains are maturing but AI is still a baby. And it requires a lot of handholding. AI models require training and also those results need human verification. So it's too early for the AI to mess into the smart contracts and building the chain for the right set of the usage. Which is what I think we have to think over as well. I guess we will see that change in upcoming times.
Polkadot has decided to go in the right direction with AI being implemented for the knowledge base and they can make things easier with nocode AI as well. But each chain has to go through it's own phases for AI based development.
