Another year added is a memorable moment for me to reflect on how far apart and how well I have been able to strive on the platform. My experience here in this space has really been a motivation to me and also to others that I have shared my story with.
I can still remember vividly when I started two years ago, writing was a difficult thing for me, what to write on, how to write and how to even pun down sometimes with plenty of word count. Coming to hive I tried all my best to navigate through the blockchain, one of my biggest challenge was on to sit down take my time to read other people's post and make comments, off course if you don't read, you won't know what to comment, so it was a difficult thing for me at the initial point. Some of my friends we started this journey together on the same day gave up because of how complicated hive blockchain was looking at the time. I was not in and I had nothing to lose so I decided I will stay and learn no matter how difficult it was.
I started hive with my smartphone, it was not that good to run hive blockchain smoothly, must of the times I used to have speed issues, some apps were not able to run on the phone because of how small the memory was, but while I was Engaging I was able to buy a better smartphone and a brand new laptop to enhance my blogging journey.
Can still remember how much of the terminology used here we're sounding strange to me, it took me time to understand and get used to them, one of the most confusing thing to me was how the platform shares my post rewards between the HBD and HP, I always used to get confused as why the HP is much more than the HBD,but along the line I realized that hive blockchain is built automatically to help it's users save some part of their earning and in that same act it is a way of supporting and building the Blockchain that was when I truly understands.
Another confusing part was the hive engine, that part looks hidden 😂 if you are not taught, you won't know such a place exit in the hive blockchain, and I know there are so many people here on hive who does not know about the hive engine especially if you are only used to ecency frontend. I was once there, now I understand better and I now know the benefits of the tokens and how to even get them for free through using the right tags. All these things were what I didn't know but with Consistency and dedication I learnt them.
In this period of two years I have shared 8,129 posts and comments together. I earned and built 1,380 HP and most importantly, the experience I have had in these two years has built personal growth beyond what money can buy. Hive blockchain has been to me more than just a social media platform where I come to share ideas, it has helped me or should I say it has been the catalyst for my growth and development. In this little time of journey here, I have honed my writing skills, I have grown my thinking abilities critically and have learned valuable lessons that have extended beyond this digital world. The fact that there are different communities here where one can just select their area of interest has really been an instrument to my growth.
Aside from the tangible gain, the intangible benefits I have gain is the wonderful people I have met here, we have grown our friendship on hive and outside of hive, this blockchain has provided me with the space to showcase my creativity, share my insight and thought in meaningful discussion, this has enhance my personal and Intellectual development, which is beyond earning cryptocurrency to building myself.
Beyond the number of gain ahs investment opportunities available on hive blockchain, hive has been a place that has support building of personal brand and also encourages collaboration with other like minded people, example is the ongoing Zealy Campaign hosted by the #inleo community, I'm working on a person brand and with collaboration with some of my friends here on hive and will soon come to light in due time
