It's really cool to see so many games coming up on Hive blockchain - Crypto-Shots, WOO, Dcrops, Genesis League Soccer, King of Duels. While it is not its main goal, Hive does provide a very supportive setup for games with its fee-less system, which is quite distinct from most other blockchains.

Among those new games, the one that has caught my attention the most is Psyber-X. I don't know if you saw it, but the latest demo video presented a playable and enjoyable game, with a quality level well above average for blockchain games:

Psyber-X has definitely shown great potential to be a frontrunner and attract new players and users to Hive, and this is why I have concentrated most of my investments on its assets.

It's been a nice move so far for me, and the good news keeps coming, so I'll point out some reasons that make Psyber-X an interesting investment even before its release.

Airdropped Crates

One of the benefits for early supporters are the monthly airdrops of Psyber-X NFTs: for every 200k LVL held on average for 2 months, you get an airdropped crate. These crates contain five NFT cards each and are more likely to pull rarer cards than common crates purchased in the marketplace.

However, there are only 10,000 Limited Edition Psybercrates and almost all of them have already been distributed, so this airdrop is probably going to last for only another month or two. Still, it is possible to take part in that final stage and get some crates before the airdrop is over.

NFTs Utility

Psyber-X NFTs will be used to gain strategic advantages within the game, such as temporarily becoming stealthy, tracking the position of your enemies, getting healed, and so on. But aside from their utility for when the main game is released, the NFTs will have use in some other games, within the same ecosystem, that are being developed in parallel to Psyber-X, those being Psyber Sects, Psyber Tower, and Psyber Decks.

Psyber Sects is a top-down shooter game that aims to use NFTs from many different projects and blockchains, a rather ambitious idea... starting with Psyber-X NFTs (read about it HERE). Psyber Towers, on the other hand, is a tower defense game... there is not much information about it, but I believe it still is in the early stages of development.

The closest to release is Psyber Decks, a turn-based strategy game that is about to start its Alpha testing phase. As per the latest announcement, everyone who has purchased at least 2 Psyber Crates will be eligible for the Alpha.

What makes me most curious about Psyber Decks is knowing that the guy behind this game is none other than EcoInstant.. we can expect good things I guess. Another very interesting fact is that cards in Psyber Decks will not be based on the Psyber-X rarity system, which means that a card considered common in Psyber-X can be an extremely strong card in Psyber Decks. Also, it will be possible to rent them to other players, thus creating plenty of opportunities for both gamers and investors.

AVAX, Myria and what's next?

Over the past few months, Psyber-X has been building bridges and revealed its intention to expand its reach outside of Hive, in line with an omni-chain concept. These moves in my opinion are only adding even more value to the game and also to Hive, since the game originates from this blockchain.

The first step was with the building of a bridge to the Avalanche blockchain - psyberswaps.com - the mint of some NFTs for AVAX people and with a Liquidity Pool so they could get the main Psyber-X token: LVL.

Most recently, they announced an exciting partnership with Myria, a gaming platform on Ethereum blockchain. With Myria's Layer 2, Psyber-X will be able to benefit from 0 gas fee and really fast transactions on Ethereum, which is awesome. And besides minting NFTs, I read somewhere about the possibility of the Psyber-X governance token being minted on Myria L2 and dropped to LVL holders 1 to 1.

There are many other things coming, but I would say that the most imminent, as far as rumors go, is a bridge to the BSC.. at least it seems to be the next target.

All of this brings out Psyber-X's efforts to integrate as many players as possible, providing a variety of options for users and escalating its visibility across blockchains.

And somewhat because of the sold out 250M LVL allocated to the market, somewhat because of the reasons mentioned above, the LVL price has been positively impacted, albeit reasonably, but with a large increase in traded volume.

Well, these are some of the reasons why I see value in Psyber-X. Of course the main thing is still the game itself, since I am convicted that the next gen of Play2Earn games will consist of those that are really focused on gameplay and not just a way to make money, and ironically those are the ones that will provide the greatest profit opportunities. At least, that's what I think... and I do hope Psyber-X will be among those games.
