Inleo is one of Hive's most used frontends currently, and understanding the UI is very important. I decided to write this post because some of my on-boarders who use desktops have been finding it difficult to use the user interface to publish their blogs. One thing everyone should know is that the Inleo frontend works just like another hive frontend with some of its unique features. This feature is what makes this frontend amazing and easy to use for those who understand the user interface.
Immediately you are logged in to the Inleo frontend on your PC, you will be welcome with a screen like this.
At the top of the screen, you will notice some user's profile pictures, those are the users who have recently participated
in a thread. This is something you will come to understand soon. On the left side of your screen, you will see some tiny icons. These icons represent these functions
- Home
- Discover
- Article/published post
- Notification
- Bookmark
- Premium
- Profile
- More
- Publish/write a blog or article.
The pen represents the get ready to start writing your blog/article. Once you click on the pen icon, a new page will load, and the page will look like the image below.
On this page, the screen is divided into the writing segment and the preview segment.
The writing segment is the place where you pour your knowledge and writing skills. On the other part is the preview segment, the preview segment is to show you your work in a finished format. The writing segment is more like the rough work, while the preview shows you what your work will look like after it has been published.
When you upload an image, on the writing side of the screen, the image will only show in codes, but you can confirm the image you uploaded on the preview side of the screen.
Functions of the Quick Shortcuts
On the taskbar of the quick shortcuts, we have the
Restore Last Draft
Restore draft is one of the coolest features on Inleo, if you look at the top right side of the writing screen, you will see a green text "Saving draft" On Inleo, everything you are writing is automatically saved for you. So, even when you are writing and your PC goes off, worry not. Your write-up is saved, anytime you get back to continue your work, click on the "Restore last draft" and then everything you have written will be back.
Save as Template
You can save your writeup as a template so you can always use that template for when you want to work again. On Hive, there are various communities, and these communities have their guides and regulations. You can always save a template so you don't have to start the process from the start. Once you click on the template, it will take you to the place where your templates are stored.

Schedule post
The schedule post is like the name intends it to be, it's where you see the post you schedule for late publishing. This means that you can take your time to write ten blogs in a day and schedule them to publish during the week. Very cool right?
Disable Auto-save Draft
Clicking on this function will auto-disable the auto-saving that was in place so you don't lose your work. I don't think it's a wise thing to disable it, but the Inleo team has given everyone the chance to decide if they want it or not.
Disable auto-update preview
The auto-update preview is a feature that shows everything you are doing live on the writing screen on the preview screen. Even as you are typing, it's auto-updating itself.
