Today is LEO Power Up Day. When did LPUD start? Mid-2022? I mean it can't be only from last year, right? Hold on a second so I can check... This is my first LPUD, and the first one that was held:
That's June 15th, 2022. And I haven't missed any of them, as far as I can remember. That makes this one the 113th LPUD straight. It's good to be consistent!
113 x 150 minimum = 16950 LEO minimum staked just on LPUDs. It is higher than that, because usually I staked 200 or more.
Every once in a while I get a comment on my Hive goals posts regarding my LEO stake. Without an impressive goal or push lately for LEO, I've gotten used to my stake level, but I realize for others it is a pretty nice stake I added in time.
I started when LPUD was created with around 5600 LEO staked and my first goal was 10k LEO staked in 2022, which I achieved.
In 2023, I aimed to add 1000 LEO monthly, from 10500 to 22500 LP. It was difficult, but I achieved it in the last day of the year.
This year I'm taking it slower on the LEO stake goal. After this month' power-up I reached 24600 LP.
Two more LPUDs and my 25k LP goal will be achieved. All while building some liquid LEO in pools too.
One diesel pool I'm thinking about next is LBI-LEO. I have some LBI which have been collecting dust for quite some time, and JK may bring some life into them, hopefully.
As you can see from my history shared above, one can build up their LEO stake mostly from participating in LPUD consistently. So, if that's your goal, to increase your LEO stake, it pays off to participate in these events every time.
As for sources of LEO, I used over time pretty much all there was:
- author rewards
- curation rewards
- liquidity pool rewards
- purchases (with funds from Cub Finance and PolyCub, mostly, but also with some HIVE at some point)
- leo.voter delegation
- ad share revenue, for the short time that was a thing
- etc.
I'm hoping I will earn some referral rewards too over time. But for the time being, no such luck.
There are many ways to earn LEO, and pretty much everyone can find something suitable for them.
