I've been talking about Listnerds a few times already.
Why I keep doing it? BECAUSE IT WORKS! At least for what I was interested about recently - using it to boost engagement on my posts (and usually upvotes and, to some degree, new followers).
Now, Listnerds was around for a decade or more, it has a membership that is generally inclined to marketing, of the affiliate kind in particular. I've been a member on the platform for many years as well.
So, as more of the old members get "reactivated" on the new platform and understand how to use it, you will see a lot of marketing emails. Many of them sent automatically, because the membership level permits it.
Even I could send an email every day on auto-pilot. And have done so before the upgrade. Because it's mostly passive. You set up your emails and that's it. They are sent to members of Listnerds perpetually, without any intervention from you.
Except on the new Listnerds, there's a caveat for this practice. Emails get voted on by readers. And maybe regular readers won't vote on the same email over and over again, one week after another (or one day after another, if the sender is uninspired and sends the same email every day).
If one email receives more than 20 votes, the sender receives a portion of the LISTNERDS inflation from the day when the email is validated (that's what receiving more than 20 votes is called). If not, the sender does not receive those rewards.
That's why I believe focusing on auto-pilot emails might be detrimental to some. But that's their business to figure out. It saves time, that's certain.
And now I reached the point to talk about what I mentioned in the title.
Because of the relative dominance of marketing emails on the platform (which is not necessarily bad, just not my focus nowadays), I decided to be on the lookout for emails that are either promoting posts on Hive or where I can somehow tie the author to Hive. So I can give them a little push forward.
Usually that comes with an upvote on Listnerds (I have plenty to spread around), and with an upvote and comment on Hive.
Remember, upvotes on Listnerds count, because you receive LISTNERDS if you get more than 20 of them.
Also, staked CTP on Listnerds increases your voting power (number of votes you can distribute daily) and curation rewards of the Listnerds account on Hive are distributed back to CTP stackers on the platform.
MAIL tokens obviously can be used to send emails. You need one token per receiver who is active on the platform. You can earn them by reading emails (only after you click the link, I believe), or you can buy them for fiat or crypto.
I'm looking forward to see your emails! Starting now! It seems I already left my voting power unused:
If you are not a member of Listnerds yet and want to join, feel free to use my referral link (or not).
If you have questions, go ahead and ask. I don't know all details, but maybe I can help. Or maybe , Jon or Blain see the question and come up with a better answer.
