Things are really not good out here in the real World. For example I have had to power down all the Hive I had staked and yesterday I had to sell what I had available in liquid form to be able to solve a problem I had. Luckily my money problems in Honduras are not quite as big as the problems people in developed countries have. Of course I am talking money wise as most things are way cheaper here, like a dentist.
But frankly I did not like to have to do that, mainly because Hive's price is so low. I mean just a few months back I would have gotten quite a bit more for it in USD, plus our currency, the Lempira was worth a few percentage points more than now vrs the USD so that amount of Hive would have gone much further. But what is done is done.
Now I really have to think if I will continue writing on Hive, or just send my Actifit report. You see, Hive is actually not a place where you can get much for a post. I think a posts visibility is very limited and only a few people manage to get good votes for their posts. but I do have to be real, i cannot compete, say with a travel post with someone who is roaming the World. Last trip I made was to El Salvador and I made one post about that. Also I know my writing is not good, I am particularly bad at prose, so I do not expect good ratings from my mediocre writing.
So there lies the question. Should I continue posting on this platform? There are a lot of cons, I get few votes, the price of Hive is down and frankly the future, not only of Hive, looks kind of bleak at this moment. Yes, there are games like Splinterland that could increase my portfolio but I am of a generation that frankly was not good at that type of thing and I was one of the worst.
So yes, I have to think this over, maybe just visit Hive every few months and write something just to keep in the action. What I do know is I will not set myself any Hive goals for next year.
