Interest payments are not automatically sent. They are accumulated over time and not paid until claimed. To claim HBD, a transfer action is need. Sending or receiving HBD would trigger a claim.

What I normally do is withdraw 0.001 HBD from Savings to Liquid wallet to trigger the payment. However, interest payments can be claimed once in 30 days. If 30 days have not passed since the last payment, trigger won't do anything.

As Nonameslefthouse pointed out, peakd's wallet has a feature to claim the interest payment by a click of a button. It also shows the amount of days passed since the last claim.
