I recently joined a community called Wealth Without Wall street and have been contributing on their posts. When I saw the question, "What Will You Be Able to Do Once You Reach Financial Freedom?" and noticed it had over 1,300+ comments, I was instantly drawn into the post.
Naturally, there were many people saying the common things you would expect like, "I'm going to buy a log cabin and write a book" of, "spend every day on the beach" and "I'll buy a house for my parents and backpack across Europe".
I quickly realized that I couldn't relate to a lot of these posts and I also already knew the answer since I've been retired for nearly 6 years now. I decided to drop my 2 cents into the sea of other people's dreams and desires that were laid out in this string of comments.
What Has Retirement Looked Like For Me?
Well... I've been financially free for the last 6 years and I can sum it up like this:
At 30 I start teaching real estate agents how to Invest and did this for FREE
At 31 I moved to Las Vegas and got deep into the personal development arena and started writing my first book, "Broke To A Quarter Million".
At 32 I became a millionaire (through appreciation of my properties) and started selling my personal rental portfolio while throwing myself into starting a marketing agency to help agents find leads
At 33 My partner and started a local meetup group to share our knowledge with real estate investors for free while continuing to educate and support local agents. I finally published my book.
At 34 This was the year that my investments made me a multimillionaire. When Covid hit, our small weekly meetup had gone from 3 people to over 80 members who asked me to start doing Virtual pieces of training.
At 35 I set the goal of Building 100 Millionaires. This led me to add a mentorship feature to the weekly group calls I was doing. I released my second book, "Real Estate Alchemist - GET THE DEAL" and held the only 3-day event world that focused on building millionaires, called the"100MM Summit" and had over 100 attendees.
At 36... Well, I won't be turning 36 for 10 more days, but if my past gives any insights into my future we can assume I will follow this path of building millions wherever it leads me. I have already scheduled this years 100MM Summit and am expecting 500 attendees in person and another 500+ to be there virtually.
Some Ponderings On My Experience With Retirement
If there is one thing financial freedom has taught me it is this. As human beings, we are called for action and have a deep desire to help our fellow men out of places of despair.
It is something God gave to us and is displayed in the stories of the good samaritan and countless examples of men and women living today.
Find something you believe in, that you feel passionate about and put all of your efforts, blood sweat, and tears into it, and you will live the retirement that most only dream of.
