Before now, if I was asked what I really want to be changed in the new leofinance USER INTERFACE, it would be to reinstate the use of use long Form publishing mode on mobile web, but that has been reviewed as it is less decluttered and easy to navigate through. The leofinance team is doing so great in redesigning the new leofinance UI, such that it's members can surf through easily and also, we now have the Home > Explore > Curated > Notifications > Bookmarks > Profile > Settings options available on the main page. Even the hiveblockchain is benefitting from this magnificent development as communities engage through microblogging
What do you think about the efficacy of options on LeoFinance UI in this version?
Since the release of the new leofinance UI on the 1st of may, I have been following updates as we were frantically expecting an update in the long Form publishing UI. Although there are still hitches like scheduling of post but the recently updated layout of the long Form publishing UI is so well arranged that even a novice would know what and what not to do.
The general idea was a means to promote microblogging in short Form called leothreads and it has lived up to expectation of the team. The plan is to meet a target goal of 5000mau in 2023 and so far, with the introduction of gamification through the zealy quest, the number of engagement on Leothread is tremendous, hence the version of the new UI is serving its purpose in being efficient and effective.
The title bar is so conspicuous now, the box for long Form is so minimal and straightforward, tags,, save drafts and publish. This update really proves this would yield positive results in the publishing field of more long Form content.
Why do you think we should change or keep it in its current form?
I believe, there are few changes to be made in the new UI depending on the feedback the team gets. But in recent times, it has been working so well and so fast. I got logged out mistakenly recently and in trying to log back, it was fast and easy and it update the homepage so fast because previously, I could be seeing threads of 2days back. Even switching of accounts is easy.
How can we re-design the current form to increase usability?
Sounds simple, majority of internet users on here, surf the leofinance platform via their mobile phones. If the team noticed, some members have been finding it difficult to keep up with the contests, zealy quests and publishing long Form post because it seemed that mobile users were phased out.
But with recent developments, it shows that the teams has the mobile web in mind and it will be a great deal if this is thoroughly considered.
What options should be added and replaced?
- the schedule option should be brought back and efficient.
- the emojis and GIFS features are gone
Discuss the current layouts strong and weak sides
The part that has to do with the articles is so cool and straightforward and you get to see the top trending posts, as well as overall trending. Then a line up of posts according to the time they were posted. Then, for mobile users, you see the pen symbol enclosed in an orange circle, where you click through for long Form posts.
All features endear us to participate in the web3 social media space in somewhat simplified means.
