Hey lions, it is no longer news that a brand new UI is out on the leofinance community and to make it more interesting, the adoption campaign with the zealyquest is live and running, don't miss it. The leofinance team has done so well in incorporating the Twitter style in a web3 platform for social media and also long Form posting.
The contest of this week got us reviewing the new UI generally since its release, it has been nothing short of amazing although there are a few glitches here and there but the team are making sure to put out a great user experience for foster engagement, consistency, growth and development. The proof that social media on web3 is been taken on a whole new level
What is your first impression regarding new UI?
The new UI was launched on the 1st of may 2023,this came with a whole new level of difference to the Leo ecosystem. So instead of being in alpha mode, it is now in the leofinance.io, thus projecting the views of project blank that encompasses the everything app.
To be honest, my first impression of the new UI wasn't really a great one because there were so many glitches and this is acceptable when you are trying to release a new brand in the web space, but subsequently and with time, things started falling in place. Threading became easy to access and navigate, the short Form style of blogging in Twitter style is going on so well unlike the long Form and the developers are effortless doing their their best to rectify this.
Why do you think this version is better / worse then previous form?
In every platform, upgrade is necessary and bound to happen, all that is necessary is to make even complicated situations look simple just by means of set instructions. The previous version was not worse in any way, it offered great services to members in terms of microblogging , long-form content, scheduling, drafting, homepage and many more.
This new UI is exquisite, the platform build, the interface is cool, the colors are great lack and orange is definitely a nice combination if you are on the dark mode.
How can new Lions engage on new UI?
It is that the introduction of Twitter style as Threading on the blockchain is a means to foster engagement. Through the new UI, lions are immediately faced with a homepage interface that introduces microblogging which fosters engagement activities. I see this as placing priority over the long Form content.
Even with the quests on zealy, mists of the activities has to do with Threading, for instance it could be
- Threading
- promoting other people's thread
- threadstorming
- vote threads
- commenting on threads
- carrying out tasks by threading
And so on, in view of this, engagement has increased through Threading in one way of the other.
What are the best features of the new version?
The new version of the newly launched UI sure came with a lot of irresistible features. Some of these features include :
- THE ONE CLICK VOTE WITH 5% WEIGHT:
This seems to be one of the most viable feature on threads and the new UI in general. Before now, we get to upvote threads in whatever percentage we like at any time, but with this feature, we can set our voting weight to a particular percentage. While it is set at a default of 5%,we can also change that through settings
HIDE THREAD INCLUDING LINKS:
This feature appears at the top right side of the page. This feature was created to reduce spam activity as people used threads to promote posts and just link drop accros the platform. Thus to address this, links will not be in the top thread but rather in the comment section.LOGIN ACCESS: in trying to login to the new UI, there are various methods to access it, through the leoauth, hivesigner.com, hive Keychain and the most interesting part is that you can comment through your Twitter and Facebook accounts.
My suggestions for new features on UI
Everything is going on so well but the leofinance team needs to be considerate of those using their mobile phones to make contents like me. I haven't been able to perform well in the #zealyquests because I cannot access my laptop. The long Form platform is only suitable for those with a desktop and the campaign is moving on. Thus, the post section and title section should be rectified.
Discuss the degree of resemblance with Twitter
It is said that threads has the Twitter style embedded in it just that the threads is a web3 social media space that allows you to earn Leo tokens while threading(tweeting).
