El Salvador, the first country to make Bitcoin a legal tender is pushed down with Australia becoming the fourth largest country to have installed 216 crypto ATMs as we step into the new year.
El Salvador's president Nayeb Bukele decided to install 200 crypto ATMs in his country making it the third largest crypto ATM hub after USA and Canada back in September 2021.

While Spain and Australia overtook El Salvador crypto ATM count in 2022.
According to Cointelegraph, Spain became the third largest crypto ATM hub installing 215 ATMs in October 2022.
However, Spain continued ATM installation and is home to 226 Crypto ATMs as of now.
Australia took the fourth position from El Salvador. 99 crypto ATMs have been deployed by Australia in the last three months of 2022.

As of 1st January 2023, Australia has 219 crypto ATMs beating El Salvador.
Total number of crypto ATMs worldwide is 38,602 out of which 6,071 ATMs were installed in 2022 alone.
The growing number of crypto ATMs does signify the importance of crypto industry which might grow in future with a good pace with more countries opening crypto ATMs.
