Since the announcement of the first ever LEO Power Up Day a few days ago, I have been scheming on how to increase my liquid LEO so that I will be able to participate on that day. And here are a few of the things that I'm trying to do (consistently) although they are not really new:
Engaging
Without a doubt, this has been one of the best sources of LEO for me. Apart from some of my comments getting upvoted, outranking Khal on the Leo Finance Engagement League will also add up.
Creating Quality Content
Being able to create content in the LeoFinance interface also helps. This post for instance might get rewarded with some LEO and HBD payouts 7 days from today, just in time on the #LPUD.
Curating & Delegating LP & HP
Having LeoPower makes one earn LEO from curating (upvoting) other people's contents.I've delegated all my Leo Power so I'm not receiving any LEO curation rewards. It may not be the smartest move but I had to because my Hive Voting mana is always low so I can't curate as many as I want to anyway. But then, it's okay because I'm receiving delegation rewards daily. Some Hive Power delegation to leo.voter also gives me LEO rewards everyday.
Taking part in contests
There are several contests and giveaways here in the community and others around Hive with different rewards. Here's to name a few:- How Often Should You Buy &Sell Crypto & LinkBuilding until 12th June by
; the first one already concluded and I was one of the lucky ones who have received 50LEO for my entry.
- 40 LEO to be grabbed until Monday by
- Rising Star Giveaways (prizes are in starbits and some include LEO) specifically that of rtonline and some others. Participating is a game of luck because the wheel decides who wins but I've been lucky for a few times, lol!
- How Often Should You Buy &Sell Crypto & LinkBuilding until 12th June by
Buying
This is perhaps the easiest way to stack up. From 1st April, I spent around 90 HIVE buying LEO and staking them. I stopped for a while until 2 days ago when I bought 100 LEO with some idle Swap.Hive on my HE wallet which I deposited last month from an exchange account, supposed to be for a few tokens I was eyeing to have but ended up using only half of the funds.
And why am I doing these?
- Just like how I believe in Hive Power helping the whole Hive ecosystem, I'm convinced too that Leo Power will do the same.
- I have faith in the LeoFinance community, the team behind it and the developments that are happening around. My goal of stacking up LEO continues, and powering up is my own way of contributing to the success of the community.
- I support its vision of democratizing financial knowledge and access to opportunities by building on Web3 which I feel goes hand in hand with what Hive is heading to (at least that's how I see it). It excites me imagining how it (can) change people's lives.
If you are looking for an additional way to earn LEO for the #LPUD, visit and read "Time to Power Up LEO + Provide Liquidity Week by and hop in today if you can. Not a guarantee but if you make a good content about LPUD, chances are the curators will shower it with generous upvotes.
And for those who are still unaware of the Leo Power Up Day, check out "Leo Power is now a thing" to learn about the requirements. There are juicy stakes that were prepared to be raffled as prizes for those who participate, re:
- 20k Leo Power 3-Weeks Delegation for 3 winners
- 5 different Leo Power 3-Weeks Delegations from several sponsors
And there's a twist too, a chance to win a staggering 60k Leo Power Delegation for 3 weeks as a Bad Luck Prize offered by when you take part in the #LPUD for 3 consecutive months (June 15, July 15, August 15).
And now I wonder, how is your preparation for the LPUD going? If you know any other ways, would you care to share? (lol!)
Thank you and let's roar!
