While people are crying because of scarcity of naira in Nigeria. Enterprenures saw it as an opportunity. A big one at that. You can spend 3 days going to the bank without getting the money. So instead of wasting so much time in the bank, people started going to POS for withdrawal.
When POS attendance noticed that they are having more customers than before, they started selling the money. Filling station started selling too. Any one who can accept transfer in Nigeria now is making cool money now. So now the crisis has provided a very good opportunity to many.
Strategies how to survive when there is crisis.
Here are some personal steps i took to survive this period . To manage my Finances without spending so much. In Nigeria now, people are buying 7k at 10k and i vow not to buy it even when it was less. First thing i did was to go the Bank to update my Bank apps Zenith Bank, First Bank and union Bank so that I can use it for transfer. I also collected ATM card
I stopped going to general market, I buy more on supermarket and shopping mall because they will accept transfer once i give them my card. With that am not buying money as others are buying.
I also went to Ancient coin shopping mall to buy with USDT , Tron or any other coin i have. In this mall, you can buy anything with coin. They are collecting core now. It was really helpful.
It did not stop there, i make some bus drivers friends. They have cash so i will transfer to them and wait to collect when they come back in the evening. I stopped buying want for now. I know it will not take too long and everything will bounce. Instead of dwelling on the nagative aspect of what is happening. I am learning how to live in case cashless policy stands in Nigeria. I also stopped going far places now or unnecessary expenses.
Accept the situation and move on
Instead of dwelling on the current position you find yourself. Accept it and move on. Think more than before to know how to overcome it. It is not good to be weak when you are facing serious situation. Suround yourself with people who love you. Who can help you. I love hive family so much on that. With hive some if our challenges are too small to think about it because already we have positive things we are thinking of.
More crypto adoption
I have seen more reason while crypto adoption is inevitable. You don't need to teach Nigerians now to accept crypto again. Many are learning it now than before. I know a Man who opened a big place for crypto training but had just few people coming to learn. But since this NAIRA CRISIS. His training center has filled up and he has to employee a crypto gùrù to train people on trading starting with as low as $10.
