In the budding new world of DeFi, two investment resources stand out from the pack. Zapper.fi and Liquidity Vision pave the way forward in crypto portfolio platforms. Let's face it, we love us some Blockfolio. Unfortunately, standard crypto portfolio Apps don't help when it comes to tracking liquidity.
Track All Your Pool Positions In A Liquidity Hub
What's one thing that successful investors have in common? They develop and follow a strategy. Having the ability to easily track your assets is essential to building an effective game plan.
But a strategy isn't enough to actually be successful. Liquidity providers need to be able to analyze the pools they enter and take action when warranted. They need a hub, such as Zapper.fi or Liquidity Vision, who offers exactly that.
How do liquidity providers leverage these hubs to increase their crypto profits? Is one better than the other? Do they both offer the same tools? Can investors leverage both hubs to their advsntsge?
Keep your eyes on the following paragraphs to uncover the answers surrounding Zapper.fi, Liquidity Vision, and more.
Is One Better To Use Than The Other?
Before getting into the details of each platform, it's best to just answer this question up front. In my experience and from research, I believe Zapper.fi has more tools to offer.
That doesn't mean that Liquidity Vision doesn't have helpful tools. They just don't offer as many. Liquidity Vision has plans to add several more tools, which could even the playing field.
The short answer is that for now, Zapper.fi brings more tools to the table. Liquidity Vision tracks a clearer liquidity portfolio. Both hubs have their uses.
The Main Differences Between Zapper.fi & Liquidity Vision
Both hubs allow investors to connect their wallets and track their various LP positions. Investors are also able to add or remove liquidity from either platform.
As for tracking your positions, Liquidity Vision has an edge over Zapper.fi. On LV, you can see more than the value of your current assets. You'll also see your initial assets (value of tokens when you entered a pool).
I prefer Zapper.fi when checking the details of my MetaMask wallet. Zapper may not show the entry value of your tokens, but they give a better view of your actual Hodlings.
Connecting To & Operating Zapper.fi
You can connect your MetaMask wallet to Zapper.fi with any of the supported portals. See them in the image below:
Zapper also allows investors to manage multiple wallets, making it easy to switch between them on command.
Zapper.fi Dashboard
Once you connect your wallet, Zapper will bring up its Dashboard showing all your assets. You can see how it appears in the image below after connecting to my Metamask wallet.
Clicking on my wallet shows the details of its content.
Opening up the Liquidity Pools tab shows the value of any different positions you Hodl. I have only one position in a Balancer pool right now, which can be seen below.
Yield Farming opens up to show rewards paid out in a different contract, versus paid to your wallet or compounded back into the pool. Below you can see my earnings for one week of providing liquidity in this Balancer pool.
Finally, click open the Platforms tab to see more details about your Hodlings on different AMMs. Again, mine shows only the Balancer pool below.
Zapper.fi shows a bar graph that breaks down your Hodlings by percentage at the bottom of the Dashboard.
Zapper.fi Invest
Moving from the Zapper Dashboard to the Invest page opens up more tools for liquidity providers. Here, investors can add or remove liquidity.
Zapper.fi also gives investors the option to rebalance a liquidity position. You can move some or all of your provisions to another pool on another Automated Market Maker completely.
Finishing the Invest page is a list of potential pools that investors may care to join. Use the search tool to find a specific pool.
Zapper.fi Exchange
As most AMMs do, Zapper has a separate page for token swaps. For those trading or wanting to exchange one token for another, this is the page for that.
Simply choose the tokens you want to swap and set the amounts. Confirm the transaction back in your MetaMask wallet and wait for ETH nodes to confirm the block.
Zapper.fi Settings
The setting page allows providers to change the percentage of their acceptable trade slippage. Other settings include a dim mode, choice of national currency, and choice of ETH gas speed.
Connecting To & Operating Liquidity Vision
Copy your MetaMask wallet address and paste it in the form provided by Liquidity Vision. That's all you have to do to check your liquidity portfolio, and a slurry of stats therein.
Notice that LV supports only the three AMMs with VALUE coming soon. If you want to take action on any liquidity provisions you Hodl, you will want to connect your wallet instead of copy/pasting.
Hit The More Info Tab (i) For A Better Page View
Using the small more info tab brings up a full page view of your detailed LP. This is much easier to read than stats running across the page.
This page shows a lot more ststs on your LP than Zapper.fi does. It's the edge that keeps me coming back and using both hubs to assess my DeFi strategy. As long as you connect to your wallet, you can also add or remove liquidity from this full page view.
Hope the overviews and differences between Liquidity Vision and Zapper.fi help you develop a stronger investment strategy.
