If I did not know any better this question, "If you had to choose between love and money, which would it be and why?", would have been answered wrongly. But because I now know the essence of money not only in the things one can afford to buy but for something bigger than material things..... Freedom
And anything that seems to snatch my freedom from me is asking for my trouble so to choose to keep my freedom is to choose money. This is because money brings anyone who has it an amount of Freedom that's not accessible to a lot of people.

Love won't give me the freedom to do whatever I want because there is no way I can exchange love for freedom. There is no market for love in exchange for freedom. Instead, you will find a lot of markets waiting to exchange love for money and vice versa.
So, what crazy fella would ask me to choose something that can be bought if circumstances permit it?
The highest dividends money pays is the ability to do what you want with who you want when you want to and for as long as you want. These dividends are given by money, not love. This is said to be the broadest lifestyle variable that makes people happy.
Being in love means you leave your power in the hands of another to do whatever it is they want it. So having the chance to align money towards a life that I want or even the man of my dreams is a better option.
When you have money you can find love. With money, you have the peace of mind to pursue the love of your life. This is because you will have so much time in the world plus peace of mind that seduction is easier. Pursuing a lover without a care in the world, as though your entire life is built around them is definitely seductive.

The whole picture your soon-to-be lover will be seeing is someone who seems to have no worries in the world and being contented is seductive. Speaking of terms, money gives you this opportunity too. Living life on your own terms, I know, that's almost the same as freedom. I just needed to simplify it further so you can get why most people will rather choose money instead of love, and I am one of them.
Someone once said it's better to be with a cheating partner when there's Money. For you can at least cry into all that money instead of poverty. Right now, seeing how much freedom and opportunities money can bring to me in terms of making the necessary investments for my future and that of my children, you shouldn't even try to advise me otherwise.. lol. If you do, I'll think you are after my life.
When Regina Daniels married an old man, for a girl her age, the internet was on fire, backslashing her left, right, and center. Although I didn't judge, I couldn't lay my fingers on why she would do such a thing. But growing up, and understanding money, I think I understand her better.
It doesn't matter if the man is old, as long as her children are born into comfort and less worry in the world, she was willing to make the sacrifices. I don't even want to talk about the Kim Kardashians, that's one family that's taking the internet by storm, so I'll leave it there.
All in all, if you ask me to choose between Love and Money, I'll choose the latter, because in this time and age, it's possible to get love, if you have money, and if you have the discipline and patience to search for the right lover, you can do it using your new-found freedom... The one money brings.
