Hive's Second Birthday, Milestones, and Future Goals.
Hello Friends,
There are moments in our lives that are pivotal, that we sometimes don't even know about. They may be simple moments, like the time we had an unexpected encounter with a loved one that made us smile, or the time we finally conquered a fear. Or they may be life-changing moments, like the time we learned something new that changed the way we see the world. But whatever the moment, it's important, and it deserves to be recognized.
Coming up on this Sunday the 20th, are two of those pivotal moments for HIVE.
On Sunday, March 20th, at 16:00 UTC, 2 milestones ... pivotal moments will be reached at the same time.
The First, is the second birthday of the HIVE blockchain. WOW! I can almost not believe it has been 2 years since the inception and birth of this new way of life, this new community.
The Second, is that the much anticipated, LARYNX Miner Token claim drop will start. This is a pivotal moment as, I believe it will shape the future of the web3.0 over the next few years.
Let's talk a bit about why these are EPIC AF!
Why is the 2nd birthday of HIVE important?
When I was in Atlanta, Ga, I trained in martial arts for about 8 years. A gripe I had about it was the belts. To me, it was not about the belts, it was about the skills... One day, I was talking with my friend and teacher about this. He told me something and that stuck with me.
He talked about how it is important to mark milestones in your life, and a belt, while meaningless in a lot of ways, is one of these ways to mark milestones.
One of the most significant things to do in life is to mark milestones. This is a time to reflect on where you have been and where you are going. It is a time to celebrate your accomplishments and to be grateful for the blessings that you have received. Without marking milestones, it is easy to lose track of how far you have come and how much you have achieved.
This is why, I believe making note of the 2-year anniversary of Hive, is a BIG DEAL.
Why is the LARYNX miner claim drop important?
Web3 has the potential to upend how we interact with each other and the world around us. While there are many applications for web3 that are still being developed, one of the most important is the social media that 
I feel honored to be managing the D.Buzz team. The developers of D.Buzz are currently working with the SPK team. As such, I had the pleasure of being in a few conversations around SPK, and what they are aiming to do. While I did read the papers, I can say that I believe the full breath of what this can do is EPIC... and in some ways, a revolution online.

Goals and the Gut.
When it comes to making decisions, sometimes it's important to listen to your head, and other times it's important to listen to your gut. Literally. Scientists have found that there is a second brain in your gut, and it's called the enteric nervous system. This second brain contains more than 100 million nerve cells, and it's responsible for controlling all the things your gut does, like digesting food and sending signals to your brain about how you're feeling.
For myself, when my gut says YES and my brain says YES, I am a fool for not listening. That is why I am all in on HIVE. I feel the future of Hive is strong. My gut and brain say it is a win.
Personally, my goals for the next year is to work hard on D.Buzz, to assist the amazing team on that project, grow and develop that platform, and keep on my personal goal of posting on Hive. Stacking and saving, networking and connecting.
With SPK coming, Hive turning 2 and the many other projects here... it is time for Hive to shine.
On Milestones
Although it may seem like marking milestones is a waste of time, these small accomplishments can actually be really helpful in keeping your motivation high. By celebrating every little achievement, you're more likely to continue working hard and be productive.
It is for all these reasons that I am pumped up for the 20th, and I hope you are as well.
We (*HIVE) are a community of creative thinkers, and doers. I believe that we love to learn, and we are always searching for new ways to grow. We are a community of people who care about each other and the world around us. We are a community of change-makers. Be part of that change!
