Splinterlands is a complex game and it allows for various different cards and strategies. Each fight is different as there are various different rulesets applied and this can give specific cards an advantage depending on how you use them. In this post, I talk about a summoner called Possibilus and how it can be deadly in Noxious Fumes.
Featured Summoner: Immortalis
Possibilus is a water summoner card that costs 6 mana. This summoner gives +2 Health, trample, and reach. Currently, I have this card at level 2 and it's a very powerful summoner. This increases the survivability of my monsters and increase the damage that my melee monsters can do.
Rule set, Battle and Plan
The ruleset this time is Noxious Fumes and rise of the commons. This means that all monsters are poisoned and only common/rare cards can be used. There is 44 mana available and I am left with the choice of water, earth, life, or death splinter.
| Splinter | Mana Cost | Position | Reason |
|---|---|---|---|
| Possibilus the Wise | 6 | Summoner | +2 health, trample and reach |
| Diemonshark | 8 | 1st | Enrage |
| Coastal Sentry | 10 | 2nd | Double Strike |
| Xenith Monk | 4 | 3rd | Heal |
| River Nymph | 4 | 4th | Cleanse |
| Merdaali Guardian | 3 | 5th | Tank Heal |
| Swamp Spitter | 7 | 6th | Repair |
| Total Mana: | 42 |
My plan is to use Diemonshark up front as my tank because of enrage ability and for its stats. Then I followed up Coastal Sentry for the double strike. I Xenith Monk there for the heal ability. There is also cleanse, tank heal, and repair to make sure that my cards live as long as possible. Through this, I can try to outlast my opponent making the most of what my cards have available to me.
Round 1
At first glance of my opponent's lineup, I think I have the advantage due to all my support abilities. We are both using the same summoner with different cards in the back.
Round 2
I did more damage and my support monsters were able to heal up my Diemonshark somewhat. The armor ensures that the Diemonshark won't die before it attacks.
Round 3
At this point, I believe that I will win the match without any issues. I have the speed advantage and my monsters can survive long enough under the poison.
I was able to win without missing too much with my speed advantage.
Conclusion
The battle this time around went exactly as I expected. I was a bit worried when I saw my opponent also using Possibilius but my lineup proved to be superior due to all the supportive abilities that I had. My opponent was more focused on dealing more damage and this gave me the opportunity to outlast my opponent. The repair and tank heal were definitely important towards making my main damage dealers live as long as possible. At the same time, I had an extra tank with heal to ensure that there were no issues.

What did you think of my match? Was there anything you would have done differently? I think it is quite interesting to see how different players use the same card.
