The Dark Web and Dark Money
When I first heard about Bitcoin, maybe 6-7 years ago, it was known as a store of value, used for nefarious transactions on the internet, by young people buying drugs, mainly marijuana. That was really the extent of my knowledge having read about it, I think in Forbes magazine or Wired magazine...I can’t remember.
Forces of Evil
One thing I do clearly remember is that it was identified as one of the forces of evil. Clearly something like Dark Digital Dollars, used only by people who were up to no good.
The Awakening
Years later I discovered cryptocurrency, as I watched China move all monetary transactions to the digital realm and I read of a country where no one carried a wallet, only their cellphone.
Then I read of India doing away with the 100 Rupee note, and demanding its National cash economy, where less then 10% of the population utilized banks for transactionsOne in an apparent effort to force people to use banks and create traceable transactions.
Then I read an article in the U.K. about the government in one part of the U.K. discouraging the use of cash, and telling its populous that Privacy was something important only to Crooks.
Then I woke up.
Bitcoin and the Altcoins aren’t Dark Digital Money for nefarious activities. Bitcoin is a deflationary store of value, whose value goes up as people’s confidence in the US dollar goes down. It’s more then a play thing of people interested in computer code. It’s an economic Plan B for the coming disaster. It’s time to wake up people.
