The last time I actively worked was in January 2022, during the year I went on a job trip for a week on two occasions and that was it.
So most of my time this year has been channeled toward growing my stakes on the Hive ecosystem which am quite happy with judging by the growth rate.
I did two projects for Huawei which I have shared previously, I will continue talking about it because doing an IBS project for Huawei has turned out to be an unending nightmare.
My activities on Hive last week took a dip because Huawei wants some changes at the Northgate mall project, they want new fiber cables routed to the five-sector site after agreeing to cascade between the sectors, and secondly, they want a cable tray installed at the undercover packing which four different people have signed and approved.
So it took fourteen months for them to realize they want the cable installed in the cable tray as seen above on the right and the left being how it was initially installed.
And for Tlhabane Square in Rustenburg, snag lists keep popping up. My partner and I has to go fix it last Sunday, our drive back home to Johannesburg were less than 50km, and we received another snag for the same Tlhabane. So we probably are traveling down there again on Wednesday or Thursday this week which costs money.
So we are being subjected to crap thrown at us before getting paid the balance owed to us. In the midst of it all, I feel like I don't want to be pushed around by anyone in the workplace anymore. Being approximately a year away from the rat race has made me lose touch with the ability to cope and tolerate crap.
I have asked to be added to the WhatsApp group where the snag lists are thrown at us but am not added as yet, perhaps it's a good thing because I am at the point of objecting to the silly requests being made which will end up causing problems for the company I represent.
Aside from Hive, am hoping to get a remote job in the blockchain space, something to keep me going while diversifying my cryptocurrency portfolio. Asking how high should I jump when asked to jump is no longer for me.
The rat race sucks and it sucks, even more, when you have no other option. Thankfully Hive is here for me.
